Babe catches that ball in his sleep

Someone who has never played baseball before catches that ball easily

My mom probably catches that ball

I think most dogs would come close to catching that ball

A recycling bin in a slight breeze might catch it

And atleast gets a walk per game, might even luck into a hit, better than Sanchez

Kirk hit that ball well. Rays shouldn't have even pitched to him.

Jesus Sanchez better not survive another night.

George Springer sucks

Nathan Lukes chokes there as well

Lukes, Springer, and Okamoto have all sucked in August. Kirk is carrying the team.

Agreed there’s no reason for Sanchez to be on this team anymore, but I don’t expect them to do the right thing until he messes up at least 4-5 more times.

Heres an easy fix get springer in the field hes not handicap. Why can’t he play defense he can’t be worst than Sanchez

Ive literally been saying this MONTHS ago.  Catering to a 37 year on a contract year with a sub .700 OPS is idiotic.

Such much for the "all hands on deck" approach.

Sanchez either needs to be the full time DH against RHP or playing for the Guangdong Tigers. No in between. This is a win with practically anyone else playing LF. Could be a costly loss for a team with a razor thin margin for error.

Why would you want to do the Guangdong Tigers dirty like that?

Im like 95% sure that Springer can play a better LF than Sanchez right now, even with whatever injuries he’s playing through

Kind of shocking that a front office that seems to value defense and contact so highly is choosing to run out a guy like Sanchez in the OF almost daily.

DFA him now or keep him exclusively to DH or pinch hit?

Even though right now, I mostly never want to see him again, I'd probably still go for the latter. But is there a roster advantage to just cutting ties now?

I'm still really pissed at Sanchez for costing us this game. We have had some poor outfielders over our time but that might have been the single worst play I have seen considering the context of the situation. I truly can't fathom what he was thinking., He just seems like an incredibly stupid person overall and even though Pinango is also a brutal defender at least he is young and can still maybe learn.

We really need to win today.

I am flabbergasted that Sanchez somehow managed to produce positive defensive metrics in the corners for much of his career. He's seemingly completely lost his ability to judge flyballs this season and looks more like a player who is converting to the outfield vs one with so much experience.

I give him a bit of a pass on the Caminero fly early on as it appears to have gone OVER the ring up there (i was watching the Rays cast) and very easy to lose it and just never pick it up again.

The next one though.... that's just inexcusable to have that bad of a read that you're going a different direction than the ball and it drops in front of you. Horrendous doesn't even begin to describe it.

Was there anything in the post game interviews that indicated what happened?

The real test will be today. Got to put this game behind them and start fresh. Can't let last night's loss kill momentum.

No, Schneider said he had not talked to him about it yet

It was exactly that. Ball was so high it went over the ring and he lost it.

Second ball he said he thought Giminez was going to get it ... so 2nd one is pure stupidity and lack of baseball IQ. 1st one ... that happens in that garbage stadium.
