He's been crazy hot for the last 3-4 weeks. Since June 20th he's produced a .410/.496/.562 1.058 OPS line good for a 186 wRC+. I hope the club finds a way to get him regular playing time in the majors post trade deadline to show what he can do as he may be an asset moving forward. Reports I've seen generally believe he'll be better suited in a utility role vs a full time starter so we shall see what his eventual role looks like.

 Clement-lite is probably the ceiling.

I think he has a higher ceiling than Clement myself but we’re talking marginally.

I think there might be a little higher ceiling with the bat as Kasevich appears to have a lot more disciplined plate approach but it remains to be seen how he performs with the glove.

Ricky Tiedemann finally made his season debut and it went well. He pitched an inning with 2 K's and a walk and averaged 96.4 MPH with the 4 seamer.

Season debut? He pitched twice about a month ago, one inning in each game and then apparently hurt his neck.

Was this his AAA debut?

Oh I missed that he actually made it into a couple of games earlier in the season. He pitched for Dunedin today.

Cool. Im glad hes back in action. Hes still pretty young, maybe he can turn into an elite high leverage lefty reliever for the Jays. I doubt being a starter is in the cards.

Yeah I think that starting is likely out of the cards but Miles has been a perfect example of a guy who has completely missed most of his professional career and very well may be starting as soon as next season.

More discipline..less power. Probably cancels out honestly unless he runs a consistently high babip. Plus, pitchers in the majors generally don't walk slap hitters with no power once they realize he has no power. I suspect his walk rate comes down more than other prospects. 

Not trying to slag Kasevich either he's definetly going to play in the majors, but it will be as a back-up MIF with great d and limited bat. He won't move the needle

Kasevich doesn't slap the ball around, he hits its harder than Clement does. The issue is the launch angle and spray pattern which creates a lot of ground balls and low line drives. In July he has maintained a considerably better launch angle sweet-spot % and air pull % and it has turned him into a monster at the plate. I'm not implying that he has found some permanent fix, but guys like this who have elite traits elsewhere are always one fix away from unlocking huge improvement.

His profile isn't that much different than a guy like Otto Lopez in the minors. Even Clement was a guy who grew to hit for more power as he aged. He really didn't hit for any power until age ~25.

He is also a potential ~60 grade defender at a position like second base. I can easily see him becoming an MLB starter.

He is sort of interesting because he has elite contact numbers but hits the ball harder than most of the other guys in AAA making that much contact. 

It's still just Tyler Freeman 80% of the time 

The age is becoming a red flag
