Didnt get to watch but it seems the offense got to offense again.  Looking like the 2024 version thus far... gotta turn it around soon!

It appears we needed to sign Tucker, Alonso, Bo and trade for Corbin Carroll - just to have a shot at a mediocre offense this year.  Why didn't Atkins see this coming?

Fun times.

The Jays record in April last hear was 11/14, and unless I have forgotten they didnt have the injuries they have this year.  Relax

What are you laughing at my comment for toe-rag, what's so funny you f*cking invalid?

Haha seek help man.

Just funny thinking you can police people expressing their frustrations with the team when theyre 2nd last in the AL.  Like who do you think you are man lol.

Go away Olerud, every f***ing year, man.

I believe almost every year since 1993 they've had a slow start and gotten 8-10 games out of 1st early.  Like by mid May.  Outside of 2014 and 2016 and 2009 arguably.

Even the 2 years they won the division 2015 and 2025 they were out early.

Jays fans under 40 have never had like the kind of seasons we had, 91 to 93 where they were just good and fun to watch all year.

Every year?  Yeah almost every year they do this.   I think fangraphs has their chance to win the division at 10%.  And that's what the data says.  They've themselves in this position probably 30 times since 1993, and crawled out of it twice.

Like everyones like 'hey its OK, we pulled out of last year'.  NO!  Of the 30 times this happened they pulled of it twice to win a division, and I guess 3 wild cards.  So like it's 10% division 25% wild card now.

Like I've always said, the seemingly irrational fans, are actually rational.   Division odds now under 10,  playoff odds maybe 30?  Fans react to the odds, and have a good intuitive feel for them.

And just frustrating that this basically happens every year.  Every goddamn year.  Never just a nice fun season end to end, they pull out of it for a division 7% of the time, for a wild card maybe 20% of the time.  Just like the fangraphs odds say.

The lineup has been complete ass but offense is suppressed league wide right now. League average OPS was .719 last year and this year it is .703.

Despite all of the injuries, the Jays are barely behind average but the real kick in the nuts is the hitting with RISP.

But for the love of god just win a damn series or two and by that point Barger, Springer and Yesavage will be back and we can expect some more competitive baseball.

Then by the end of April we should have Berrios and Yimi back. Then Kirk by the end of May.

The AL sucks this year so we should be fine. The Yankees are two Jordan Romano appearances from getting their s*** kicked in 4 games straight by the Angels. But we don't want to fall too far back.

Lmao yes if you say the team sucks and they won't win the World Series you will be right 99 percent of the time. Congrats.

As for the rest of your post, one thing that projection systems never get right is playing time. I'm not sure how baked in all of these injuries are. 3 key pieces should be back in a week.

Steamer is down on us (and they do funky stuff like project Varsho for negative defensive value) but Zips projects us to finish near the top of the AL East still. PECOTA has us competitive as well.

Honestly glad none of those contracts are on the book. Will take Carroll though.

It's common sense leaffie and he should relax for crying out loud, and I don't get why people can't see it, we went through way less injuries at this point last year. The grass will be green again, just have to find ways to claw through this.

P.S. Glad you're posting more. 😋

Lulz... bye dude, I can't read this anymore. Not for a while anyways. You don't seem to get win probability and the minute odds all MLB teams walk into each year at Division, WC, hell the f***ing WS. Comeback and kiss my ass in September.  😉🖕

And the offense was just as bad to start 2025.

Im hoping they can turn things around, and I believe they will. But they better do it soon.

2nd last in the AL and its still april, get a grip. Have you ever watched a full season of baseball? You come off like a whiny 14 year old.

We all know the team has sucked. But to compare them to the 2024 squad is extremely premature.

If we can’t hit in Arizona then we can’t hit anywhere lol

In the past, it seems like the Jays have always heated up when playing in Arizona. Not sure if it's just me. 😂

Brandon Pfaadt and his 5.94 ERA and that awful Arizona bullpen! Jays bats will crush them on Friday!

Lets try this again, what's funny about that statement below? (Do we need a read along bouncy ball Sesame St. styles?)

The AL looks like 15 mediocre teams. Some of them will break from the pack but it doesn’t have any great teams. Too early to panic, but so far this season has not been fun. It might partly be because of how 2025 ended, I have a sense of numbness with the Jays now. Losses don’t really bother me like they would have in years past. Maybe Jeff Hoffman’s gopher ball-itis ripped part of my spirit away.
