Slade Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 10:43 PM Posted Thursday at 10:43 PM Did Andrés Giménez do something to Schneider? How the hell is Lenyn Sosa and Okamoto being prioritized over him?

How the hell is Lenyn Sosa and Okamoto being prioritized over him? What would Gimenez have to do with that? They don't think Davis can play Second Base and they don't think he can hit right-handed pitching which is the clear picture we have got from the last year and half. Okamoto is going to play because they gave him $64 million. Sosa is going to play because they traded for him despite not having a defensive position but can hit with some pop which the team has very little off at the moment and had especially none off the bench.

I don't know what either of you Birds were watching? Gimenez played SS and went 2-3 with a steak, get back in your f***ing lane, bro!

Pinkfloid Verified Member Posted Friday at 03:16 AM Posted Friday at 03:16 AM Jays have such an odd schedule; not until game 28 of the season do they play a single team in their division. Also, outside two September series with the Orioles, the Jays are otherwise done with division play on Aug 23rd! The team really needs to gel before the end of April and stay hot until the end of August. Losing these early games isn't ideal but at least we aren't losing to our division rivals. Your name is Jonn, right?
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted Friday at 06:43 AM Posted Friday at 06:43 AM I meant Gimenez in that batting order hitting below Sosa and Okamoto. Stangstag 1

He’s off to a decent start but he has a long track record of being a bad hitter who should be hitting at the bottom of the order and is the ideal #9 hitter on this team with a fully healthy lineup. Oak has long track record of being one of the best hitters in Japan. Hasn’t materialized here yet. But we have seen flashes. With how bad the team has been offensively they can really try almost anything at this point. I personally have been more disappointed by the Defense. That’s something we didn’t even worry about last year and now it’s very much a problem. Really puts in perspective quickly how good we had it with Kirk. Not only did you lose his bat you lost him just fundamentally making all the correct plays. Stangstag 1

Another thing that's impressive about him, is despite the relatively small frame, he's been improving his EV and max EV each year. 108.8 in 24, 111.2 in 25, and already topped out at 112.8 this season! Marlins got a gem.

Sprint: 74th percentile, and BsR / SB to match Arm: well, he's playing shortstop Defense: plus at SS or double plus at 2B Hit: 90th percentile for avoiding Ks and squaring up the ball, in 2025 Power: NEW FOR 2026 - 54th percentile bat speed, somehow red in every EV stat. Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted Friday at 04:28 PM Posted Friday at 04:28 PM You're always bound to lose a good one due to a numbers game and roster crunch at some point. I feel like the Blue Jays have rarely been punished by this in the past compared to some other teams. Maybe like a reliever or here at that couple good seasons if anything. On the flip side its kinda cool that Marlins team 3 best players right now are Canadian. Spanky__99 1
