That was legitimately perfect .

Calling the Miz "the Mike" is such a classic heel thing to do and Miz popping off in good nature is pure gold. The chanting at the end put me over the top

The Nationals announced that right-hander Matt Waldron was claimed off waivers from the Blue Jays. Connelly Early was moved from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL in the corresponding roster move.

The Angels ate playing for our benefit rn.  Up 2-0.

And they destroyed Jake Burger's hand. OUCH

Likely half game back but maybe 3 teams to pass.  Hopefully Cleveland or twins can blow it

so we not popping champagne in New York’s visitor clubhouse, it will be at home next week

I just hope they don’t go too hard on the partying since we still have to hold on to the spot for a few weeks

I jinxed him 🫢

WIll be interesting to check out his + scores after the game. Just gameday scouting but 93-95 with 4 seam and sinker, slider 87-89 (though a few are registering at 82), 85-87 change and a low 80s curve. Decent set of pitches and easy to see why he dominated AA with an assortment like that even with below average command according to Fangraphs anyways.

This is easily one of the worst organizations to accept a GM job as the meddling owner would make it next to impossible to do your job properly and there would be severely limited autonomy.

I would do it.  Don’t even care about the meddling owner.  Do 1 season and retire somewhere in Mexico

This most interesting part about this... yesterday Brown was interviewed somewhere and said straight up how great it was working for Crane and how he felt like it was a great place for him.

Next day? Hit the bricks champ.

He was a lame duck GM anyways but ... the timing of the firing is just dumb. There's no trades left, all the GM duties there are now till the end of the season is deciding on any applicable DFAs, callups etc and hopefully nailing down a post-season roster.

Just wait till the season is over and his contract is up and announce you're not renewing it. Now Crane himself is taking over baseball ops till a new GM is found, there's not even an interim GM.

Espada is probably just waiting for the axe to fall too since his contract is up at the end of the season.

Why are anyone surprised, guy's a f***in' bird, trying to wake up his team, whilst bringing in unwanted controversy and  attention? Truly an idiot.

Do GM firings really wake up a team though? The manager ... sure, players spend every day with the guy but the GM? I doubt the players really care one way or the other.

Likely not, my point, but it brings in reporters asking questions to players though.

Varsho's agent has to be s***ing bricks right now.

Acquire him at your own risk, MLB GMs! You might get fired!

Atkins is still here so its not that bad lol
