$500+ million luxury tax payroll wasn't enough, the Dodgers had to bogart all the luck too.

Just phucking sickening watching those lucky pieces of shite celebrate another WS title after being handily outplayed and outscored over the 7 games.

The wrong team definitely won tonight.

Yup, Jays were definitely the better team this series, but the Dodgers prevailed and got lucky in the games that were close.

Regardless, still happy what this group accomplished this season and hopefully they go on another Postseason/World Series run in 2026.

This loss must feel equally bad as when the Rangers were a single strike from winning and wound up losing the game and series a while back. They finally got their lucky win and I really hope the Jays can recover some of this year's magic and win it next year.

Well yes, but they also got beat by better hitting in multiple situations (aside from Nelson Cruz being a bad outfielder), not their worst player having a terrible lapse in judgement or their closer giving up a home run to the #9 hitter in the worst possible situation.

True yeah, the Ranger took 12 years to get back to the WS and won with a lesser team.

Really fkn sucks to lose this because it was right within reach. Hopefully we can pull a 2014/15 Royals and run it back

Most of the horses are set to return. They should have money to spend to patch the holes, providing they can lure some players to sign in TO. Hopefully this run helps with that.

Yeah, I am glad you did but imagine if the Blue Jays won, you would really wish you spent the $2,300, haha!

I was happy watching the game at home on my 77" television but yeah would have been awesome being at the game in person for sure whether they won or lost. Sucks that prices were super expensive (through the Jays even).

After being a fan for over 30 years, you wait for this moment of being in the World Series. Sucks after all that time watching and supporting them through all the highs and lows, can't even attend a World Series game. Like it's a big f*** you to us fans. But that's the corporate side of sports. It's all about the money at the end of the day.

Yeah after this World Series run, I think Toronto is definitely a big draw for free agents who want a chance at winning. Ownership will continue to spend and you got to trust Atkins and this front office for finding the right pieces to the puzzle after the success they had this season.

It's just so hard for all the magical things to come together.

- Essentially winning out to secure the division in the last week of the season to skip the wildcard round.

- Taking the Yankees to task in what (at times) were close games that could've swung either way.

- Going down 0-2 to Seattle then miraculously winning 3 of the next 4 games (including 2 on the road and losing a heartbreaking 3rd road game with a bad bullpen move) to bring the series back home.

- Forcing a game 7 and then a true UNC moment from Springer to propel us to the finals.

- A totally unknown rookie coming out and absolutely shoving to bring us to the cusp.

- Rattling the Dodgers' "Ace" in Snell and winning both of his starts to give us 2 chances to win at home.

The reason this stings extra hard (and why I'm immersing myself in Jay's interviews and soundbites to grieve and mourn) is that the Dodgers' didn't need any of this to get there. They are expected to with their payroll and experience. This was our true shot at immortality with a true, heart and soul TEAM that felt built, rather than bought. Even if most of these players come back, there will be a different energy next year and there are no guarantees. As much as I think the Jays will likely make October noise again very soon, every other team is going to get better to match.

I'll always love this year and how it brought us all together but damn it really feels like a missed opportunity. Hope most of us are here on the board next year to keep it lively and fun. It's been a pleasure going on this journey with all of you :)

He was used as a pinch runner several times this series and he f***ed up like every time. Too bad Straw was subbed in earlier than necessary because he should’ve been in that spot.

It sucks as it seems like every time IKF was inserted to pinch run that Straw would have scored easily if inserted in his place. This wouldn't work positionally given IKF is an infielder vs Straw in the outfield with Bo being replaced on the bases. It sucks that so many completely empty plate appearances were handed to Straw and IKF in extra innings, and that the lowest valuable position player on the roster in IKF was acquired in the first place given how many crucial mistakes he made in the post season.

So my thought process there was to let DS play LF for the 9th and hold Straw to pinch run for Bo next inning in case the Dodgers tied it. Felt like they would probably tie it on a homer (likely Ohtani) if anything so LF probably wouldn’t matter and DS can hold it down for an inning.

I get wanting to put Straw out there for better defense though. And unfortunately the Dodgers did tie it on a homer and Bo did get on base and Straw would’ve been useful there.

IKF just sucks a huge one. He is not a good baserunner

I don't think you guys understand

look at dodger fans social media the last 5 days.  They won last year, 5 years ago, they were even more miserable than anything I was seeing from Jays fans at any point this series.  Even mid season with them in first place, never happy.  The happiness would be fleeting and by the start of next season, most fans would go back to being entitled and whining about the same stuff every fan does.

It is impossible to be satisfied long term

It sucks the dodgers (some questionable ump calls that may have decided games) stole that few weeks or months of satisfaction from us though and that they have Ohtani who should have received a lifetime ban alongside Clase and company.

Props to Yamamoto though for sweeping seeds and spit off our dugout floor after winning and shame on Ohtani for trying to match his class by picking up balls in the field after batting practice today.

They say playing not to lose never gets you to win. IKF was playing not to lose there in literally the situation and it costs them a WS ring.

Yeah he was probably scared to get doubled off on 3rd after what happened with him in a previous game + Barger the day before.

But like… that leadoff is pitiful

But like, the game is tied! You don't lose there if you get doubled off. Sure it sucks, but the game continues! The situation where he gets doubled off would likely mean another hard hit ball found a glove.

It sounds ridiculous, but silver lining is that there were so many other small/big things that happened/didn't happen in addition to this play that it can't be singled out ala Buckner, etc. I'm more annoyed with Barger yesterday TBH and Varsho's inability to put a good swing on a ball at any point in the past two games. I'm sure IKF is beating himself up pretty badly cause that one play you could draw a direct correlation to an outcome.

For me though, it's about balancing contributions both positively and negatively. IKF did not contribute positively, and that makes that error more magnified. Barger (offense) and Varsho (defense) helped the team be in that situation in the first place.

I 100% see your point. I really just don't want to distill what I feel about this whole run down to one guy/one play and pin everything on him. Hoffman 100% could've gotten ahead of the number 9 hitter and not given up a backbreaker. Imagine the poetic nature of making Ohtani be the last out. That would've been right out of a movie and you'd figure something the baseball gods should've liked!!

Anytime I've seen an outfield collision so hard where a player hits the ground the ball was never caught.......unbelievably lucky

Kudos to Pages for holding on. GG on Roberts for that defensive sub because Edman probably doesn’t make that play.
