Cal Raleigh yesterday:

O-4 with 3K and a GIDP, plus a run costing throwing error. Could not have had much worse of a game.

Don't give him anything to hit in any big spots tonight. He'll be after some redemption.

Pound him with fastballs up and changeups down. Breaking balls are no-bueno he will murder them

This is supposed to be fun but I have so much anxiety during this stuff.  I find myself not even able to watch sometimes. I will go for a walk or do something to just keep me busy. Then I check in on the game every 45 minutes or so. Or I just pause it and fast forward through the Mariner at-bats after taking a break for a while. It's an illness I tell ya! I should be able to watch a game like a normal human being but it's been tough.

Nothing good can happen when Jays are on defense. That's when the stress is at peak.

I don’t understand why they are choosing IKF over Davis Scheneider but it is what it is. Davis was probably having some of the best at-bats on the team down the strech and has barely played in the playoffs.

They didn’t use him against Minnesota that year either. Weird.

I believe he entered the 2023 playoffs 2 for his last 35 with 14 K's.  He's probably lucky he was even on the roster at that point.

I love me some DS.  I wish there were better matchups for him as I'd love to see him in the lineup more.

Not really - too much fastball, although v. Snell, the decision probably comes down to Straw or DS over Lukes.

DS thrives against guys like Bassitt - finesse guys.  LA is mostly power arms, so DS is likely a cheerleader from here on out.

Two things I'm thinking about before tonights game:

1. I hope George Springer is feeling better tonight. I saw him wince a few times on swings last night.  We need a productive George tonight. I suspect the summer of George isn't over yet. Stay tuned.

2. I have settled myself for the outcome, whatever it may be. This is the team I expected to win 85 games this season.  Talk about exceeding expectations. The comeback victories alone this  season are enough to satiate even the most ardent baseball fan. Thanks Blue Jays.

If we lose tonight I hope it isn't because we beat ourselves.  Hoping for error free baseball tonight and let the chips fall where they may.

It has been a hell of a ride thus far. Can't think of a better way to inaugurate the new Blue Jays Centre.  2025, a season of faiths perfection.

Another banger from poster of the year.

Louis Varland has pitched in every postseason game but one and he has a 2.80 ERA and xFIP

Elite, and what a total professional trooper

The 5.10 FIP paints a much different picture. He's been scary at times when brought in with runners on base given the inability to keep the ball in the park.

I will be cheering for whoever wins tonight in the WS because f*ck the Dodgers, and being a west coaster, the Mariners generally have been my second team especially when Ichiro was around.

Yeah.  Don't hate the Mariners either.

Dodgers are heavy favorites.

Jays do have home field advantage if they make it, which can help.

Why on earth would I feel the need to delete it? Varland has coughed up home runs at really inopportune times and allowed a lot of inherited runners to score. XFIP can't account for this, and ERA isn't able to either.
