No his location is terrible. Its either way out of the zone or dead center of the plate. Pretty easy to sit on that as a hitter

they had peralta at 60 pitches in 3 then varsho, Luke’s and Jimenez had brain dead ABs chasing pitches wat out of the zone early in the count. Just stupid baseball. Not that it would matter with JS pulling Beiber too early with this s*** pen. Division lead is not going to last much longer

It's been comical that every time Varland steps onto the mound, he at least gives up a run. When was the last outing he didn't allow a run?

Its not plus stuff. Its been just above average mostly last 4 games.

I don’t understand why the same manager who couldn’t pick Braydon Fisher out of a lineup despite his results seems to have unwavering confidence in Varland who has only been a good reliever for 4 months of his career (on another team). Varland gave up runs in the Miami game that eventually went to extra innings, then the Twins game which Hoffman eventually blew, and now this. Fix him, then start using him in high leverage again.

The idea that varland could start is laughable. How the hell does that no movement fastball work at like 95? That is a pipe dream.

There's a point where you just have to say our bullpen is terrible. We're late enough in the season that it's not a small sample size anymore. 

When I watch them I feel like the other team should be scoring more runs, not less.

Fisher being in buffalo is inexcusable but unsurprising from an org that just does not know pitching. He has the best k-bb% in the entire pen.
