Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 Bo's speed obviously caused him to hurry 😉
neverbeenhere Verified Member Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 This offense really sucks
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 Comeback Vlad/Santandar, we NEED you!!!
jaysthebest Verified Member Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 It's a typical Blue Jays game where they make the opponent's pitcher look like a CY-Young candidate. I haven't seen this for a while.
june.june Verified Member Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 This team cannot endure another 0fer game from Varsho the guy should hit for Power, why he is in the line up and considered a regular line up player Not Straw who is labeled as a platoon player because the above standard defensive contribution argument is moot for both Varsho becomes an offensive liability with his fcg high strike out rate

Amazing how Vlad's lack of presence just makes the lineup look rather pedestrian. Oviedo is throwing well today though, so cant take that away from him Jays24 1

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 I'm both going to miss...and not miss Bassitt next season.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 LOL, that pitch barely missed the zone and it hit him?
jaysthebest Verified Member Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 At least the Mariners and Astros are losing.
neverbeenhere Verified Member Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 he was taking it on his elbow
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 Sometimes I dont understand the pitch calling. Fisher throws 97mph heat... yet here we are 9 pitches in and he's thrown nothing but sliders and curveballs all within 5 MPH of each other. Granted they've been pretty filthy

He also has terrible command of it. 75 Stuff+ on the fastball with 87 Location+ lol, comically bad. Despite that he rates well overall thanks to the slider and curveball being well above average pitches. Terminator 1
neverbeenhere Verified Member Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 it will be pathetic to lose like this

I know it's not a great pitch for him but eventually the slider/curve combo all from 83-88 won't play. It's one thing to baffle these sub .600 OPS hitters sure, but I struggle to see how that's gonna play against better hitters unless he shows that fastball a bit more.
Laika Community Moderator Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 It's not a loss until they lose! Go Jays Go!
neverbeenhere Verified Member Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 everything looks depressing in that ball park
june.june Verified Member Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 Opening a point of view about pitch calling specific to this game is laughable, grasping for straws when the issue is offense
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 Typical Little outing these days. Dude has been pretty bad after a great start. Regression to the mean I guess.
Doubleplay21 Verified Member Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 Little poor play has made it easy to have Lauer in the bullpen. Little should be sent to Buffalo when Bieber comes back.

Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 Jeez our 20M 2B cant even run these days...
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 that strike 2 call was awful
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 ******** call on the 2nd strike... but Barger should have hammered that cookie. Terminator 1
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 This feels like the 2-1 loss to the White Sox from whenever the heck that was. Very frustrating. John_Havok 1
