It's a typical Blue Jays game where they make the opponent's pitcher look like a CY-Young candidate. I haven't seen this for a while.

the guy should hit for Power, why he is in the line up and considered a regular line up player Not Straw who is labeled as a platoon player

 

because the above standard defensive contribution argument is moot for both

 

Varsho becomes an offensive liability with his fcg high strike out rate

Amazing how Vlad's lack of presence just makes the lineup look rather pedestrian. Oviedo is throwing well today though, so cant take that away from him

Sometimes I dont understand the pitch calling. Fisher throws 97mph heat... yet here we are 9 pitches in and he's thrown nothing but sliders and curveballs all within 5 MPH of each other. 

Granted they've been pretty filthy

His fastball has really bad shape metrics I'm pretty sure. It's basically a show me pitch so people don't exclusively sit on the nasty breaking ball. He also has terrible command of it.

75 Stuff+ on the fastball with 87 Location+ lol, comically bad. Despite that he rates well overall thanks to the slider and curveball being well above average pitches.

Still.. shouldnt that show me pitch be ... shown? I know it's not a great pitch for him but eventually the slider/curve combo all from 83-88 won't play. It's one thing to baffle these sub .600 OPS hitters sure, but I struggle to see how that's gonna play against better hitters unless he shows that fastball a bit more.

Little poor play has made it easy to have Lauer in the bullpen. Little should be sent to Buffalo when Bieber comes back.
