Don't think an 82MPH fastball would do much lol. I heard he continued his career at East Side Mario's as the only thing he knew how to do was serve up meatballs.

Haha he beamed A-Rod back in 2007 at the Rogers Centre.

Bring back Brandon League!

3 called strikeouts in one inning does NOT redeem you, Christopher Bassitt

You gave up a 2 run double to Tommy "Knuckles" Pham and are losing to the goddang Pirates

Bo tied with Bobby Witt Jr in doubles while running like Kirk shows how great of a hitter he is lol

No, Bassitt.

That signal from the bench was "hit Pham in the dick"

NOT "throw a sinker down the dick"

When rosters expand in September, a 6-man rotation becomes easier with the extra bullpen arm.

Until then, Bieber, Gausman, and Scherzer are the clear top three, and Bassitt isn’t a bullpen fit. That leaves Berríos and Lauer.

Lauer has bullpen experience seems to be a better fit as a longman than Berríos, and he Bassitt now have shorter leashes with Lauer in the pen.

It also gives Lauer useful pen reps ahead of the playoffs, where he could be valuable if a starter falters early.

Too many off days

Gausman and Bassitt don't want to go every 7 days

Couple that with Lauer already past what he threw all of last season and could be wearing out, a move to the pen makes all kinds of sense.

Recency bias is something fanbases just need to let go of.

Really though

The speed difference between the two is enormous

Bassitt and Gausman making 5 innings against the Pirates look like one of the most difficult things to get through.
