Makes it even more impressive. Jays24 and Stangstag 2

Doesn’t matter if he hits .215 if it comes along with a .250 ISO. Him selling out for power actually has benefited him. JP Arencibia but with elite CF defense
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2025 Posted August 6, 2025 Doesn't it feel great not to see Green give up 2 HRs in a game like this lol G-Snarls 1

I think you’re gonna be massively disappointed because I don’t see this FO dropping France 2 weeks after we acquired him. More than likely Fido gets sent down.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2025 Posted August 6, 2025 Springer playing in Buffalo tomorrow. Once he clears concussion protocol means he will be in the lineup vs LA on Friday. Spanky__99, Jays24, Wake n bake and 1 other 3 1

Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2025 Posted August 6, 2025 Yankees have a chance to have the best run differential in the AL while not having a playoff spot by tomorrow... please let it happen lol. Stangstag 1

The Jays will use the 2 weeks to determine whether hes worth keeping/fixing but probably won't have enough time to waste ABs to do it. No way Loperfido is being sent down with the way hes been hitting and being able to play multiple OF spots while being a much faster runner.

It would have been unlikely to break or tear anything on that part of the leg. But I wouldn't be surprised if it's a very deep bruise, it could be a bone bruise on two different bones. There could also be a lot of swelling emanating from the knee joint. I think there's still a possibility of an IL stint depending on how bad it is. If they expect him to miss three or four games they'll probably just throw him on the IL to give themselves flexibility.

I still think he'll go on a short IL stint, which will coincide closely with Gimenez returning. Thats when id expect France to be a goner unless he goes on a tear before then (doubtful)

Very happy. Team is in first place. Winning is fun. Why do you think that requires blind cheerleading? It does not. Not to me. I'm not going to glaze over things that are still true. There is a fluky aspect to this season, and we're extremely thin at the upper levels of our organization. This is a message board, this is where these things get discussed. If this team had another name on the front of their jersey, I'm very curious to know what people on here would be saying about this season and organization.
Laika Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2025 Posted August 6, 2025 The Blue Jays minor league system is no longer thin. This is a fact. There might be a couple of specific positions that don't have great present AAA depth, but every organization suffers from that.

People always get too caught up in projecting the future and even if you have a team full of young stars its not like the playoffs are guaranteed (look at Baltimore and Atlanta). The team is overachieving this year for sure but they have a lead in the AL East which no one reasonably expected, just gotta enjoy it because who knows what will happen next year. I will say the team winning all these games probably makes them a more attractive FA destination which was a struggle these last few years so that bodes well.

Really because I keep hearing the reason they couldn't go after even better talent at the deadline was they don't have the depth of assets to do it unless they wanted to strip themselves bare. Also, who are the best homegrown players developed under the current administration? If I'm another team I don't know how much I trust the talent coming out of this organization.

You can still enjoy the winning even if there are aspects to criticize. I've been a fan since 1988, believe me I know winning does not come easy. Any criticism I have will not stop me from enjoying the winning.

Everybody who is any good on this first place team was developed or acquired by this administration. Put some respect on Ross Atkins.
