Looked like he grabbed his hamstring walking off...

Ya I thought so too but he's still in the game and playing the worst position on the field if hes not 100%

Clement was the bonehead on that play. Not sure how anyone blames Varsho for stopping when given the stop sign but Ernie flies around 2nd

Pretty sure it's because he gave up on the play when Perez tagged him without the ball.  He still had a chance to gun it for home instead of just standing there to get tagged again.

But yes, Clement was the reason for the screw up though.

I'd rather have Varsho not do any rundowns coming back from a hamstring injury. He should have just left Clement die on the bases.

He literally did nothing wrong.

Nitpicking from my part

just don’t like his value to the team

the defense from the OF didn’t suffer while he was out but most importantly the offense was way better without his high strikeout and very dismal BAvg.   Both metrics stands out during this amazing run with him dancing with his physiotherapist

Ya thats fair.  I normally dont question the GOAT baserunning coach Febles but curious if Varsho would have made it home there.

I prefer Varshos defense and his pop in his bat. Straw was ok at CF but Clase was awful in the OF and Lukes is a downgrade in CF.

If he can give us some slugging from the left hand side he brings a lot of value to this team because they don't have enough slugging. He takes his walks. He can even bunt. He'll always be a strikeout merchant and he'll never hit for a high average but if he can do those other things he brings us value. He NEEDS to slug though.

The platoon of Davis, Straw, Loperfido and the canon of an arm of Barger from the RF, I am content during this amazing winning blast by the Jays during the month of June and July.

Right, and Uber-elite defensively.
