Ross Atkins just casually pulled the best 3B tandem in the majors making league minimum, with 90% of baseball fans not knowing who either player is.

Bassitt only ran into trouble in one inning so far, he's been good.

Doesn't seem likely with Schneider managing, as he is probably twitching to make a pitching change even now, but Bassitt going 7-8 innings today would be huge for the weekend. The Jays have an intentional bullpen game on Friday, and then an unintentional bullpen game on Sunday with Francis starting, so having a fresh pen for the weekend would be ideal.

I hadn't paid attention to Walker since he left Jays. but how bad have things gone for him to be pitching in the pen in a 0-8 game.

He's their long man and spot starter, he's been pretty good. They're also juggling the idea of using him in high leverage. Nola's coming back shortly.

Schneider is gonna read this message and personally make sure to use at least 3 relievers from here on out.

They just told Walker they might use him in high leverage so he felt better about getting demoted to the pen 

Dude is cooked and would have been out of MLB after 2024 if not for his contract. Getting lucky somehow this year, though. He might be better than Bowden Francis actually.
