Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 Straw is over a full win better than Roki Sasaki and counting. Ross Atkins is laughing all the way to the bank. glory, gruber9292, Stangstag and 3 others 1 4 1
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 This Luzardo guy sucks. No idea how he had good stats coming in to today. Or maybe the Jays offense is just THAT good?
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 LOOOOOOOL the Phillies are a mess
Masterbather Verified Member Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 Good thing they didn't Atlanta Braves us with the infield fly rule on that one.

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 The Phillies defense is a train wreck

Laika Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 Jesus Luzardo is still an Oakland Athletic at heart, I guess
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 The Phillies probably thought they had this series in the bag after winning Game 1 lmao Omar, Orgfiller and Spanky__99 3
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 Ross Atkins just casually pulled the best 3B tandem in the majors making league minimum, with 90% of baseball fans not knowing who either player is. Omar, Terminator and Spanky__99 2 1
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 People said: "it would be nice if Barger and Ernie could combine into one player" so Ross Atkins spoke and both of them became elite on both sides of the ball.

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 I guess they could put Schwarber back out in the field but other than that, I'm not sure you could build a worse defense if you tried

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 They have a bunch of tall lanky white guys with long hair running around and booting the ball all over the place Reminds me of the stoner team we play in beer league softball on Wednesday nights Spanky__99, Orgfiller, max silver and 2 others 1 4
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 lol 7 pitch inning from C Bass salt the wound! Orgfiller, Terminator and Spanky__99 2 1
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 Bassitt only ran into trouble in one inning so far, he's been good.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 Average Phillies player: 6'4'' 190 pounds pretty good hitter the worst fielder at his position in the history of the game Average Jays Player: 5'8'' 255 pounds gold glove caliber fielder the worst base runner you've ever seen in your entire life max silver, Omar and Orgfiller 3
glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 Doesn't seem likely with Schneider managing, as he is probably twitching to make a pitching change even now, but Bassitt going 7-8 innings today would be huge for the weekend. The Jays have an intentional bullpen game on Friday, and then an unintentional bullpen game on Sunday with Francis starting, so having a fresh pen for the weekend would be ideal. M.E. Verified Member Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 I hadn't paid attention to Walker since he left Jays. but how bad have things gone for him to be pitching in the pen in a 0-8 game.

He's their long man and spot starter, he's been pretty good. They're also juggling the idea of using him in high leverage. Nola's coming back shortly.

Schneider is gonna read this message and personally make sure to use at least 3 relievers from here on out.

They just told Walker they might use him in high leverage so he felt better about getting demoted to the pen Dude is cooked and would have been out of MLB after 2024 if not for his contract. Getting lucky somehow this year, though. He might be better than Bowden Francis actually. Orgfiller and Spanky__99 2
