I don't think a couple of no defense, 20+ homer types (aka the kind of Free Agent pickups that this board clamors for) would be providing much more value than they are.

The one guy who is really sucking big time is Will Wagner. He's a negative on defense so needs to hit but he's not at all. His projections are so good I'd keep playing him but 3B is the most obvious spot to improve at the trade deadline right now.

 

Kirk, Gimenez, Clement and Roden have been fine on the other side of the ball. But the issue is they’re being relied on to hit in the middle-of-the-order (Gimenez, and Kirk especially) when in reality they’re bottom order bats. As well, we’re rostering too many types of these guys and don’t have the other bats to make up for it. 
 

As for projections, they’re not the be-all and end-all. Adding another bat or two with pop, and having Wagner & Roden as depth in AAA would have been better IMO.

Maybe! If those bats were Ryan McMahon and Luis Robert we'd be a worse and more expensive team than simply running Clement and Roden out there.

Not all Schneider fault but if this goes on he could be the first manager this season to be fired. The front office should exit as well. This is a poorly constructed lineup
