He is hitting the ball too soft. Barger is better option right now. Jays needs dingers

This applies to Wagner too.  Both give you mediocre defense with a noodle bat.

Positive is that both have been working the pitchers well but just not coming through with results, which is what matters in the big leagues for a team in "win now" mode.

This is why another bat would have been nice to add this offseason with Santander.

Going into the season relying both on Wagner and Roden as starters was kind of risky. Would have been better having them in AAA to start the season and as the first call-up options in case of an injury.

Just gotta hope Wagner/Roden can turn things around.

Depends who the bat was, could also be worse

could also just have Barger up with Springer in CF and Lukes in AAA if you want more power

It’s hard to see the ball but if you go frame by frame here and judge the fielders actions it’s pretty clear Vlad didn’t leave early. What a joke of a call

Should I go back and read the meltdown in here im assume took place lol

That was a clear ump show call. No business calling it an out

Stretching past the normal nature of your joints and at the apex of that you can't hold onto the ball...is not a routine ordinary play. Be smarter

That play is made by a ML 1st baseman 95%+ of the time (maybe higher?).  It's an error on Vlad.   And f*ck Vlad.

The posters s***ing all over Vlad are embarrassing.

Ain't it. Kind of sad that their reasonings seem so fake as well. Some people just want to cry I guess

Astros may have known all the guys they gave us for Kikuchi would never become true major leaguers.  Those f***ers lol.

Who gives a f***? It was half a season of Kikuchi in a year we weren’t making the playoffs. 3 lottery tickets that are MLB-ready isn’t bad at all.

No power and uncompetitive ABs with RISP. Bo probably told Bautista he is swinging at anything even if it hits him

You're seriously s*** talking Bo after the game he had, lmao. Seek help.

As of right now, the Jays are dead last in home runs on the season. This feels wrong.

This is bound to change eventually. The team has received a whopping total of 1 home run from the top of the order, and this trio could reasonably be expected to provide around 80-90 home runs over an entire season. Adding Varsho back into the lineup should inject a little more thump as well.

In Popkins we trust.  Give it time.

It was still a great deal in hindsight... just a remark that none of the guys are looking too promising at the moment.  Hope they turn it around for our sake.
