Maybe wait more than 23 games to judge a 14 year contract. A lot of people were upset with Vlad at the end of April last year. Ended up with an amazing season. If he's still doing this at the all star break start to panic, but I think at the end of the year he'll have around 30hr a .300 avg and a .900 OPS

He's our best hitter, the front office couldn't draft and develop anyone remotely close to replacing him, so this had to be done. How is this $35.7 million a year the money you guys are worried about? How about the other $240 million that Shatkins is basically wasting on the rest of the payroll?

Why all the negativity? Were .500 after 3 series. 2 of the 3 series were vs. contenders. Were you expecting this team to be a lot better than this? It's a long season. Vlad will hit eventually. Heck after April last year he was doing terrible but turned it around in a big way.
