Bats I don’t think looked nearly as bad as the statline suggests but man the pitching just full out sucked. Tons of meatballs and orioles even barely missed on a couple other pitches or it could have been even worse. Mullins hit 2 tanks and in his last at bat hit a foul ball down the line off the facing of the 5th deck lol.

One game doesn’t make or break a season by any means but I wonder how many teams made the playoffs after losing by 10+ runs on opening day.

Berrios awful, bullpen awful. I'm not happy with the lack of depth in the 'pen and having to rely on guys like Barnes. Hopefully we can find some good middle relievers throughout the year.

Kind of shocked Barnes even made the team. He didn’t even have a good Spring. If they weren’t going to go with another long man like Yarbrough. Someone like Mason Fluharty made a lot more sense and he actually looked good this Spring.

The key metric to track with this team is going to be run differential. The difference between the outlook for last years team when they were hovering around .500 and the 2015 team hovering around .500 was ~+125 2015 Team, ~ - 35 2024 Team. 

So far 2025 -10 ;)
