Just to clarify for folks. The latest visit with the Padres was his second FTF. 

 

When it says he met with the Blue Jays and then the Padres. The meeting after the Blue Jays was the second meeting with the Padres. 
 

I recall when buying cars over the years. I went to many dealerships looking for cars. However, I only went back a second time because I had decided on a vehicle from there and wanted to use a previous dealership as leverage.

The meeting he had with the Blue Jays was his second meeting.  He met with 2 teams twice.  The Jays and Padres.  I don't think he's going to the Dodgers.  I think it's us or the Padres.  I don't think he wants to be in the shadow of another japanese player.  Darvish is the exception because he was a childhood hero for Sasaki and he's almost at retirement age.

To clarify, he had two meetings with Toronto in Toronto? I thought he had Zoom meetings originally with like 8 teams.

I see Sasaki has a steamer projection of 3.7 WAR, 3.19 ERA and 3.12 xFIP in 148 IP

Is that legit something that could be expected?

Yamamoto had 2.8 WAR in 90 IP I guess

Boy would it be nice to add that kind of upside for such a low cost.

Reading these threads about him, my guess at what the Jays have as an advantage for him is a monopoly on the Canadian-Japanese market. There has to be an endorsement possibility and a revenue stream for Rogers somewhere in there.
