Ugh tough decision for the team tomorrow Nobody cares if he's in discomfort. Its whether he can play through it without making it worse is the important part.

It just looks like he doesn't do well with whatever pain or discomfort he's feeling
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 ..that's brutal - he's obvious not well enough to run, so DH 'em

SeranthonySantander Verified Member Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 He will play and he will like it. We should be moving towards yearly contracts. Prorated per games played. You don't play you don't get paid. Gen.Disarray 1

Its a bonus split amongst the team (which is peanuts compared to money top guys are making) I don’t want Bo playing unless his bat is there at least at a 90% effectiveness, he forces Springer into the field and Santander likely out of the lineup.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 As I've been saying, know when to fold 'em with Bo. He's not close, and it's not like you don't have other options to formulate a good lineup. I'd be shocked if he's ready for the World Series if we get there. It's very possible he's played his last game as a Blue Jay. SeranthonySantander 1

I looked it up what non compliant means in medical terms afterwards. I think that's what we have on our hands with Bo, unfortunately. He's non compliant. And it's a shame because on an otherwise cooperative team, it's a bad look to have one rogue.

There is a difference between being hurt and being injured. Just like there is a difference between being sore and being in pain. If this is the regular Season his ramp up for recovery is slowed down. If they were concerned him running could further worsen an injury he would not be running and he would be shut down. Him being sore running the bases isn't a massive concern... coming off a knee injury its expected. If he was going to compromise team performance he wouldn't be playing. If he was injured he wouldn't be playing. Its if they can be healthy enough to perform is the question and the answer appears to be yes but we will find out for sure tomorrow.

SeranthonySantander Verified Member Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 It is kind of weird for sports net to post the whole dramatic first jog and basically falling down to get off his legs like he literally has to be carted off. Is it not? Stangstag 1
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 It sucks but not surprised. Bo coming back seemed very unlikely. Just have to find a way without him. That video doesn't make it look like even being a pinch hitting option is all that realistic.

That video seems oddly public given the scenario. I don't think they would have him running if there was anything structurally wrong. Some guys are built to fight through it and some guys aren't. Unless of course they intend to inject him with a f*** ton of painkillers. It doesn't look like he's close.

It's not hockey, there's nothing to gain by hiding this. It's not like the Mariners don't know what's wrong with him. It's not like they can target him the way they do in hockey, no matter what happens they know he's not close to 100% with that knee.

They also didn't need to decoy sending Yesavage and Gausman to Bullpen in the Yankee series but they choose to anyway. They actually had them go individually and noticeably solo just to put the thought in the Yankees mind. Maybe leaking that video was put the Mariners minds they don't need to prepare for him. These professional sports teams do these little games all the time. Normally you don't get both picture and audio of a player doing a private workout. You might hear a sports writer say you saw a certain player throwing, hitting, or whatever but that video had like several angles and audio lol. I could be completely wrong but I am kinda calling bs on it for the time being.
SeranthonySantander Verified Member Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 Would be cool if all of a sudden Bo is doing the 4.0 second home to first sprint.
