I don't necessarily hate fat Bo

I mean his career can go in two directions and he has to pick a lane tbh

Direction A = skinny-ish SS with fringe defense, hits .280+ with 20 HR and some steals and okay baserunning

Direction B = fatter 3B or 2B with average defense, hits .265 with closer to 30 HR, no steals and neg baserunning

He can't be good at everything

It is funny but should have been expected I guess

As an amateur Bo was chubby and many scouts didn't even consider him a SS prospect

He worked hard and trimmed out

But he's a chubster by nature

Yeah why does Bo look fat now? Dude does not look like he gives a s*** this year

I'd guess that it would difficult to perform much cardio when you are sitting around resting up a leg injury.

What shape Bo is in by February 2025 will be more important than the shape he is now. I'm assuming he couldn't exercise as aggressively with the injury and it's a lost season anyway. If he's still fat by the time ST rolls around, then there's a problem. Money is a great motivator, so I can't see Bo not being super motivated and in great shape for 2025. Of course, what the Jays do with him between now and then is the question. I don't think he'll be traded, but it's not a 0% chance, and they have 2ish WAR internal replacements (Jimenez/Clement).

He's good at eating! Dante's going to freak out.

Don’t really need cardio, just gotta watch calorie intake which clearly didn’t happen

I doubt he gives a f*** with 2 weeks left.

Well that’s exactly what im saying, he looks like he dgaf and he’s looked like that (attitude-wise) since like June

The Great Arch burger just came out at McDonalds.

This. Anyone who trains or has lost weight knows this. 80% of being fit is caloric. Musculature would be impacted (deteriorated) - let’s not make excuses for him being fat.

Maybe that works for him for his career, I’d guess it doesn’t. Either way it’s a flag to be considered going forward

I'd expect that if he's unable to do the same workouts he did when healthy, that he'd have to change his dietary habits to reduce the caloric intake to offset the lack of physical activity. Habits can be hard to change - especially in a lost season where he's only returning to play meaningless games. If this is a flag, it's like one of those little miniature flags they put on top of cupcakes.

Do not care if Bo is fat or skinny

I only care if he can hit .310 with 25 bombs

I hear ya, but most fans prefer Bo to be dreamy rather than creamy.

He would certainly be burning a lot less calories through activity in the several months of downtime.

It’s true. They were spoiled with KK for the last couple of years

Its a pretty good burger tbh. Just overpriced

Yeah actually was pretty good. It's big at least in comparison to the Big Mac which has decreased in size over the years. But yeah $9.99 just for the burger alone is a lot. But definitely was good for McDonalds.

I'm curious to try it

5 Guys double cheeseburger $15 vs Big Arch $10

Better or worse value to quality?

Both places have great (though totally different) fries

The price of fast food has increased to the point where I'd infinitely rather just get a burger from a proper full service restaurant.

This is exactly right

Someone who goes through McDonald’s or A&W drive thru and gets a Big Mac or Teen Burger meal is paying probably $13 and change

Or you could go to *insert your favourite bar/pub/restaurant* and get a burger and fries for like $18 but the quality is far superior

Taking into account how much low cost (teen burger) and high cost (house) items have gone up since Prince Fielder signed in 2012 how much is Vlad worth when you approach that way?

Most calories burned in a day is BMR. Exercise is just the only factor a person can control, but ya can't go nuts on it when you're trying to heal
