Masterbather Verified Member Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 Most casuals probably think the Os suck still. Last couple weeks of school left. Dome will still be boomin in July methinks O's can be back to back World Series champions and they won't draw unless they have somebody like Ohtani.
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 Feels like everything in play has been a nuke tonight
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 Why try to squeeze the 7th out of Gasuman when he's been lucky to only give up 5?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 Why try to squeeze the 7th out of Gasuman when he's been lucky to only give up 5? Was just thinking the same thing when he came out
Masterbather Verified Member Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 Abandon ship! All hands abandon ship!
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 can we get a little push back please.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 Was just thinking the same thing when he came out Can someone to me why we signed Turner instead of Brandon Belt?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 Can someone to me why we signed Turner instead of Brandon Belt? He's still available so we could change our minds...
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 He's still available so we could change our minds... That would require and admission of a mistake..lol. We know that's not going to happen. Way to go Springer!
Masterbather Verified Member Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 Can someone to me why we signed Turner instead of Brandon Belt? I was saying this plenty at the beginning of the season but nobody seemed to care so whatever. I was thinking more so about Belt over Vogelf***, but still
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 I don't think Jansen could throw me out. Gotta be one of the worst throwing catcher's in the game.
Jays333 Verified Member Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 but but, I thought beating the White Sox and Pirates meant this team was turning the corner, we might buy instead of sell and trading Vlad or Bo makes no sense at all. Haha. This team needs 18 wins a month to even compete for a wildcard spot at this point, the sell needs to happen and one of Vlad or Bo should absolutely be included. Probably Bo because he would fetch a larger return.

Probably Bo because he would fetch a larger return. but nobody is worth anything... Kikuchi - wild, not consistent Guassman - old, expensive lost a bit Vlad - 'no power bro' (barely got that one over the centerfield fence tonight) Bo - .240 hitter with no defense Jansen - lots of injuries, Yimi - whatever This is a team of sadness, a team of nothing, a team of no hope, no assets, no future. The only option is to hire a genius 32 year old GM and go the Orioles way... a) Fire Shapiro win 35 games a year for 6 years c) win 110 games for generations after that Problem is it is very hard to tell who is a genius and who is not, because 110 IQers with good social skills can fool you.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 O's fans sitting at home watching the game can probably relate to how quiet the dome is right now

Kikuchi, Bo and Yimi would fetch decent returns in prospect form that might just lift our farm system out from the dredges of the bottom of the league. Offer Vlad a contract that is fair for both sides hope he accepts and hope his power returns. Accept that we are not going to make the playoffs for a couple years and try to do a soft rebuild. That my opinion but im definitely not an expert.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 Looks like the ballpark is just fine if your team can f***ing hit. Lol @ the pitchers park label. NHL and NBA are soon to be done, not gonna pretty with MLB being the only real sports entertainment available with this crap level of play.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 O's fans sitting at home watching the game can probably relate to how quiet the dome is right now Imagine spending 300M on renovations and your attendance levels go down. Then they spent a bunch of the Florida complex "high performance" department only to have a bunch of fat f***s on the team. Shapiro suckered the s*** out of Rogers by not paying attention to what actually matters and that's the players on the field from the big club to the lowest levels of the minor league system. /rant
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 wait Clement hit for Varsho and not JT? WTF that can't be right...
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 We've been beaten worse than 7-2 this year but that was by far the biggest beatdown we have received so far lol It seemed like they had more hard hit balls in that 1 game than we have had all season

I assume that by the end of the year Baltimore, with a second 100ish win season in a row will beat Toronto in attendance by a bit (still behind right now) I figure this year Orioles will end at 2.5 million Toronto 2.3 or something After that it will be Orioles 3 million Toronto 1.5 million forever pretty much (Orioles have a forever dynasty of joy).
