G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 27, 2024 Posted March 27, 2024 There's been 2 games already PPD tomorrow, Brewers @ Mets and Braves @ Phillies, good ole April baseball in the East. ALMOST glad we're starting the season at the Trop No chance of rainout
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2024 Posted March 27, 2024 ALMOST glad we're starting the season at the Trop No chance of rainout I can’t remember the last time we got rained out on opening day. #blessed
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2024 Posted March 27, 2024 Boras will have to settle for NOT buying that new mansion he wanted this summer. Laugh now, but the man is going to make a big stink during the next CBA.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2024 Posted March 27, 2024 I'd go to rehab for $870K too. lol... damn right.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2024 Posted March 27, 2024 Now Porter with the Raptors is apparently under investigation for possibly betting the under on his own props in games. Gotta think how braindead this move is too. On normal nights he probably generates like a couple hundred dollars worth of bets and some parlays. Then BOOM out of nowhere big spikes to unders on his prop bets and he tanks. Not like he's Lebron who could probably hide something like that if he was so inclined because enough people will bet on him to succeed or fail in a given night.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2024 Posted March 27, 2024 Probably longer, you know there’s gonna be a bunch of extra ceremony stuff due to the bridge disaster I just googled this, holy s***.

Yeah, that guy's a clown if he did that, red flags all over that. DraftKings alert the NBA the minute he came out of the game, lol.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 (edited) TIL Vogt's debuting as the A's manager tomorrow, I either missed this, or simply forgot, don't see that very often after a guy just basically retired from ball. 44 years since the last time this happened, less than 2 years after retiring. I was looking forward to the Braves/Phillies game tomorrow afternoon. Ugh this sucks. Hopefully more games aren't postponed tomorrow.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 Frankie Montas is the Reds Opening Day starter. Wow.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 Angels @ Orioles in danger. Yeah im not really understanding how Philly got cancelled so early yet Baltimore is still on. They’re like an hour apart.

That is cool. I didn't catch that either. Even diehard baseball fans struggle to keep up with what's happening in Oakland these days.

Mark Kotsay continues being the A's manager.

Laika Community Moderator Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 I think so but the Yankees and Cole were being pretty annoying as far as public statement went on the timeline. They were just saying he would be shut down from throwing for 4 weeks.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 Was this expected or no? Yes, he's not throwing till June.

Laika Community Moderator Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 Yankees are absolutely terrible with this kind of PR stuff Yeah they f***ing suck. Not sure how they think it is good for the fandom to just lead them on that Cole might be back in May, and then do this
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 Wonder why Tommy Pham didn't get a job yet He's old but was very solid in 2023. I guess he's probably asking for too much $

BTS Community Moderator Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 Rendon is a dumpster fire holy s***. What a douche So far today: strikeout light throw to 2B on a GB that might have cost the team a DP fielding error on an easy grounder, followed by him laughing about it They should just send him home
