His hit tool has big upside. Not a .260 hitter. He’s 23 and has been injured half the time in mlb. Haters going to hate

How’s ya boy Royce Lewis doing? Jo Adell?

Posted
Royce a no doubt superstar. Just had a rough his last trip back.

He’s been bad for a couple months now… and he needs an attitude adjustment.

If he jammed my favorite team in the pooper and bounced them from the playoffs, I wouldn’t be fond of him either. Luckily Fantasy > Jays to me

That… has nothing to do with.

And yes its clear to all of us you live in fantasy land

I think it’s worth stopping to take a second to appreciate what AJ Preller has done. He took a big swing on Soto that didn’t work out, but was able to keep wheeling and dealing. Faced with a huge curveball of the money train coming to a halt and unforeseen financial challenges, he was able to retool the team into a 95 win team. While also holding on to the ROY. Exceptional development allows him to do so. Sometimes you give up a prospect and it hurts, more often than not, it doesn’t. Drew Thorpe trajectory took a nosedive.

Top 10 GM easily, considering development. He ate Atkins for lunch and spit out the seeds this year

I should rename myself “Trolloftruth”. Thoughts?

BTS you were one of the main targets there along with Laila, as usual. Throw me a bone with a reaction

Does Atlanta use Chris Sale in Game 1 or 2, or neither? Wonder what they decide to do.

Either way, Brownie is in shambles. First, his first ever ban and then having to see ATL overcome devastating injuries and still make the playoffs.

The truly Wild three-team battle for the final postseason berths in the National League is not over, and the Mets and Braves will play a doubleheader on Monday in Atlanta to determine which teams advance to the playoffs. First pitch for Game 1 is set for 1:10 p.m. ET.

The Braves announced they will start Spencer Schwellenbach in Game 1. Chris Sale would start Game 2, if Braves lose first game. The Mets have not announced their starting-pitching plans yet.

DBacks probably miss out on playoffs. I see the teams splitting their games tomorrow

Yeah they should split on purpose

If one of them sweeps tomorrow, they have to play the rested DBacks in the WC series. Big disadvantage!

Wouldn't the Brewers and even Padres be rested as well? I don't get it lol.

Yeah whoever wins Game 1 is going to rest everyone good in Game 2 and essentially tank that game. D-Backs are probably done.

Not necessarily, because we don't have the wildly expanded rosters of past years in September, the pitching in particular could be pretty good even if they aren't really trying. There will still be a couple of regulars. Yes the team that's going all out should still have the advantage, but they will also feel the pressure.

If you're the Mets, you probably want to win the first game, so Atlanta is forced to use Chris Sale in Game #2 and not in the WC series.

Otherwise, if Atlanta wins Game #1, I'm sure Jesse Chavez will likely get the start and eat a bunch of innings haha.

Also, both teams are huge division rivals, so knocking one out of the Postseason is something I think either team would look forward to. Yes the team that wins Game #1 will most likely cover innings with other arms they don't plan on using in the WC matchup for Game #2, but they're not going to wave the white flag. Both games should still be competitive.

I mean there is no incentive in trying in game 2, if you win game 1.

They would just burn good players/relievers and waste energy.

And the end result would just be letting a more rested and still dangerous team into the bracket on the other side.

Like, if I won game 1 and secured a spot I would just rest everybody in game 2 and use my long reliever for the first 5 innings.

Why would I be in shambles? The Braves are one of my favorite NL teams and I'm a huge supporter of AA.

Cards rebuilding

Giants fired Zaidi and named Buster Posey! as new President.

It’s seems you taking out all the time, and your secretary’s time, to draft those 50k letters in support of Atkins to the Jays FO had paid off. Hopefully you paid OT. Don’t want to play around with that

Wow! Crazy how the WS teams last year just didn't look so hot this year.

It's almost as if the playoff are a crapshoot.

#1 offense to boot. 27th in team ERA though...

Anyone else watching the Braves/Mets game? Schwellenbach clowning on the Mets through 5.

Mets look lifeless right now. Megill hasn't been bad although the pitch count has been running high since the second inning. Also TIL Ozzie Albies is no longer a switch hitter, I know he's always been poor against RHP but didn't know they had fully pulled the plug on the experiment as of a couple of weeks ago when he came off the IL. Figures he would hit the currently go-ahead HR against a righty.

Yeah, I just learned that today as well. Speaking of Albies - he's having a hell of a game on both sides of the ball.

I know you've been dying to say something stupid like that all season but they won 89 games in the toughest division in baseball, so clearly they're pretty good. Clearly better than the Blue Jays, very clearly.
