Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 I’ll take the package they just got, so they got 1.3 years of Soto for free Can we get an update on J-Rod, Walker, Greene
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 Can we get an update on J-Rod, Walker, Greene Fantasy only remember. At some points, RG looked like the better player. Your stacast stuff likes him too. Didn’t come back well from injury and got injured again. Walker held his own. I should’ve included Royce too.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 J-Rod blows them away both in fantasy and IRL Undoubtedly he’s better as of now, but not a ton to spike to football on. Mostly the foreseeable edge comes from non-neutral factors (Detroit situation) . 126 wRC+ to 119 compared to Greene as a rookie. Hopefully Greene can stay on the field.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 I was consider Riley/Harper swap with the guy that quit bbdl. I put it off for a later convo. Possible the guy quit because league didn’t move fast enough, but as someone said, it’s an established league and so off-season it’s not balls to wall
BTS Community Moderator Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 I’ll take the package they just got, so they got 1.3 years of Soto for free 2 years of King vs. 5 years of Gore 6 years of Thorpe vs. 6 years of Abrams Jhony Brito and Randy Vasquez vs. James Wood You're taking the contrarian thing a big far here in saying the Yankees package was better
BTS Community Moderator Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 Baseball Trade Values has the Nationals return as currently worth 80M more than the Padres return lmao. "They got him for free"

His delusions of winning right away based on this.

I actually forgot about Wood honestly Edit- wow he really took a nose drive last year though lol, no he didn't he played part of the season in Wilmington, a notorious pitcher's park, with a 155 wRC+ then made the difficult jump to AA, and had a 124 wRC+ as a 20 yr old there was swing and miss in AA but that is generally the case with 20 yr olds in AA

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 I read O’s still favorite to land Cease. Burnes, Grayson, Bradish, Cease would be legit

Burnes, Grayson, Bradish, Cease would be legit It's time to play for 2nd in the division. They are becoming the new Astros/Dodgers for the time being. Thank god for expanded playoffs because this team wouldn't sniff the playoffs otherwise.

If their young talent stays the course, no pressing need to add any big contracts. Support them with shorter term deals

Laika Community Moderator Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 LMAO... the Mariners just got hosed again. No kidding. Wow. Although, it's the Ms so maybe Santos is the best reliever in baseball now
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 After a little diversion trading for prospects, Dipoto is back making dumb moves for borderline MLB talent
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 After a little diversion trading for prospects, Dipoto is back making dumb moves for borderline MLB talent Makes it more painful when they sweep you in the playoffs though lol
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 Makes it more painful when they sweep you in the playoffs though lol Blue Jays 2, Mariners 0
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 The playoffs won't be easy to make for the Mariners. The playoffs will be easy to make for the Blue Jays.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 Blue Jays 2, Mariners 0 The Jays and M’s are good test cases of why WC3 is good for baseball
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 The playoffs won't be easy to make for the Mariners. The playoffs will be easy to make for the Blue Jays. I dunno man... one team plays in the AL East while the other is in the AL West. Not as big of a difference after balancing schedules but its still a factor for us to deal with.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 The playoffs won't be easy to make for the Mariners. The playoffs will be easy to make for the Blue Jays. Don’t agree with you on this one.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 You guys should know JB doesn’t sip the kool aid
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 f***, I was hoping they'd overpay on Cease. Man, this division is going to be tough as f***, F U Brew Crew, I hope their spects flop. Going to be? This division has f***ing screwed virtually everything for 25+ years now.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 Going to be? This division has f***ing screwed virtually everything for 25+ years now. Only the great AA was able to give us a division title in 2015 since '93. It's f***ing unreal lol.
