Well, here we go again. Another coin flip game. 0 for 3 in these in the playoffs last year and now. Hopefully we catch the right breaks today...

And it really can’t be understated how the team has to take advantage of WCs to make it in, even #3 WCs, like this year. They were supposed to be completing for division last few year and each May it’s apparent they will be fighting for a WC

Yes, the 2023 Blue Jays were supposed to be one of the WS contenders, but instead, this team competed for the last WC spot was a very disappointing outcome.

Agreed. This board is full of Low-T crybabies and cowards who can't handle playoff baseball.

 

Beating Gray and Ryan with Berrios and Bassitt is doable and we will face tougher scenarios than that if we keep advancing.

Gray is really good but so is Berrios. Also, the Twins are throwing similar style of pitchers at Toronto so in theory the boys could get used to the archetype... the inverse Dickey Effect.

The only Blue Team I remember getting off the mat in a tough playoff or pennant race situation is the 2015 ALDS. Even when the Jays won in 92 and 93 they took 3-1 leads in the series and won in 6. The 85-90 team was notorious for choking leads (85, 87, 90).

 

The 2015 thing happened because Tulo, Colabello, Donaldson, Pillar, EE and Bautista decided to hit homers **

 

(also Ranger made 3 errors).

 

I will Guarantee if either a) Jays hit 3 homers or Twins make 3 errors and Jays hit 2 homers they will win today.

Moreno's HR last night was a massive go ahead blast. Arizona media saying that Moreno tweaked something in July and his power numbers have been up since without sacfricing obp. . I know I'm beating a dead horse but what a bad trade that was. I guess it's really not fair to judge until the end of next season, but it doesn't look good.
