Lopez looks quite hittable. For all of the whining about Gausman, he's hit the glove a lot more than his counterpart.

I wholeheartedly agree. You and I have watched baseball long enough to know when something's up. That's the great thing about baseball. You notice things that you would have missed when a newer fan, like many in this thread. So much nuance.

Easy man, seriously.

Top 2 guys in strikeouts and we have…. 1 strikeout in the game so far. K looking

Yeah, a lot of hittable pitches from Lopez so far, but nothing hit hard.

So odd. How do we still not know what is happening here

On the U.S. broadcast A-Rod thinks he is tipping because of the body language. Not just the takes but they aren't flinching.

He has to establish the low fastball and he's got to throw a few early strike to ball splitters to establish it. If they're headed for the dirt right out of his hand they're not going to swing.

Correct.

Ok those last 2 splitters have me convinced, they definitely know when its coming

Yep and they swing at every fastball.

Wallner takes a wild swing at the sweeper, much like an earlier batter on the slider. They don't even flinch at the splitter. Not knowing what they see is so annoying.

I've never seen Gaus throw a sweeper. Maybe he should use it more.

Gausman is somehow telling them what is coming, they are not swinging at the splitter. This is not the first time we see this about Gausman, we need a camera on the catcher to see it.

Correct.

This inning he is throwing some good ones though, they're still not swinging. The ones that start in the strike zone and finish just below the knees, you need them to swing at those our it's going to be a big problem
