Laika Community Moderator Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 My post was in response to someone saying Tiedemann would not break camp with the Jays. All I posted was that it was possible. And yes, you making a snide dismissive comment about my post that has since been shown to be correct is what I am pointing out. Be better. Jim how the f*** are you even thinking you were right? Manoah died, Gausman is hurt, Y Rod is delayed, Tiedemann had a healthy spring... if RT doesn't break camp with Toronto then he basically had zero chance and you're dunking on yourself
deanmike Verified Member Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 Longley misrepresented what was actually said by Schneider. This is the full quote from Schneider where Tiedemann was mentioned along with many other names. Longley basically only mentioned Tiedemann to write a clickbait hype article making it appear like it's him who's going to break camp.

Manoah died, Gausman is hurt, Y Rod is delayed, Tiedemann had a healthy spring... if RT doesn't break camp with Toronto then he basically had zero chance and you're dunking on yourself Here is what I wrote in response to others saying Tiedeman would not break camp with the team: "It is not out of the question that Tiedeman makes the team out of ST" I've never said he would break camp with the team, I've never said he would be in the rotation out of camp, just that he *could" make the team. That still could or could not happen. My sole issue here is Havok responding to my post in a snide / dismissive manner.

I said the exact same thing, that it was possible in that post. Yet your using a tiny fraction of the whole post as some kind of "gotcha" moment. Are you in the media?

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 Youre an idiot, the entire post taken in context agrees with you. Explain the following part of your post, the snide / dismissive part: There might be a universe out there that exists where he does, but I don't think it's this one.

I did, in the rest of the post that you chose not to include. Jim, you're always 3 steps behind when you think you're two steps ahead.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 Springer's bat speed looks like it might be back
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 Looks like Vlad has already gained 15 pounds since spring started.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 Ah s***, Kiermaier is dead. Foul ball off the right kneecap. Taken out of the game in the 1st.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 It didn't look great. He was limping. Hopefully a bone bruise is all
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 It didn't look great. He was limping. Hopefully a bone bruise is all Well at least we have another competent fielder to play CF everyday! Maybe a Schneider/Barger platoon in LF?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 Wow the defense this game......

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 Yeah. Even before sending him for an xray I think it's safe to expect he wont be in any more ST games. Getting injured in the last week of spring training is FUN
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 Bad Kikuchi this year? Hopefully not, but maybe.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 Wow the defense this game...... Wind is a factor, but yeah. Feels like Vlad would have had that foul in any MLB park
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 Kikuchi looking in prime 2022 shape
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 Biggio back to being passive again. What are you looking for?? All 3 in the happy happy launch zone were called strikes
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 Biggio in mid-season form watching balls down the plate lol
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 The ST lineup I've seen seems to be George, Vlad, Bo in that order pretty consistently. That's not going to be regular order, right?
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 Kikuchi and Kirk at the mound..... that would be entertaining to listen to
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 The ST lineup I've seen seems to be George, Vlad, Bo in that order pretty consistently. That's not going to be regular order, right? Seems so. To be fair, I think Vlad needs Bo's protection more than Bo needs Vlad's protection in the lineup. Bo swings at everything regardless while we want Vlad to get more pitches in the strikenzone. Now the other side is that Bo gets a lot of hits, which is important to have batting before Vlad since his job is to clear the bases.

Just in what happened in today's game, Vlad is on 1st and Bo hits a single. Vlad stops at 2nd. If the order was reversed, Bo is likely standing at 3B. I don't think "protection" has any relevance when compared to game play scenarios.
