Ooooooh damn, I'm supposed to give a s*** whether Sherminator likes me?

Get over yourself Sherm, you think I'm supposed to give a s*** about class on a Toronto Blue Jays message board? How sick do you think you are?

So I take it that you're NOT getting me the Swiss Chalet gift card then?

At least you guys have good asian food to make up for it

That’s true. Can throw a rock out here and chances are you’ll hit either a lawyer, a redneck or an Asian restaurant

Tried White Spot in Dawson Creek. Pretty good.

Mr Mikes steakhouse has been pretty decent as well, though it’s more casual than steakhouse now.

Settle an argument for me.

When you guys go to Swiss Chalet do you dress up or not?

My parents say it's more casual and they laughed at me when I wore a tie and jacket the last time we ate there.

But they were wearing sweatshirts and I thought they looked ridiculous.

Who is right?

Mr. Mikes is awesome. Can't go wrong with an Antler Ale!

My new favorite spot. Great beers/wings/burgers... when I eat that which isn't often.

You did the right thing. Anything less than your Sunday's finest would just be downright disrespectful to that fine establishment. Sweatshirts?? You don't want to be the talk of the town. Save the sweatshirts for Arby's and Harvey's.

Clearly your parents are more relaxed with their advanced age. Swiss Chalet is a classy place. I usually wear my smoking jacket with pleated pants.

I always ask for the adult smoking section and demand my water is in a GLASS.

Also, if you order anything other than chicken, you should be dragged outside and shot.

When I was a kid, my parents were big on dressing up (and making me dress up) for certain restaurants. The Keg was considered the line. Keg and above, dress up. Anything below, hell no.

What's above The Keg?

Dean, if you'd just buy him the Swiss Chalet gift card I think we could all move past this mudslinging.

Can't disagree with that. I've got resos at the Keg for this Friday .... New York Striploin....

I'm not going to lie - I do enjoy the roast beef when they have it. I love getting their hot chicken sandwich, but will go with the hot roast beef sandwich when it's offered (limited time only). That Chicken Parm Sando is also unbelievable.

Regarding attire, I must say the average age of people eating there is typically 72, so there are a lot of slacks being worn. I love it though when I'm with the kids. It's a sit down restaurant that only takes like 20 minutes to get your food. I don't have time for normal sit down restaurants these days.

Arbys and Taco Bell man. C'mon.

What about Taco Time?

Which is better? Taco Bell or Taco Time?

Yeah I don't even care if they are paying anymore. I'd rather go by myself and pay than be seen with them wearing sweatshirts. My dad even considered shorts once when we went in the summer time but I yelled at him and he changed in to jeans.

I find it hard to believe your dad thinks he can get away with shorts just because he's paying. It must have been hard to call him out but you did the right thing. Hopefully he still paid.

Your dad sounds like a guy that would get a sloppy steak at Truffoni's.

Never eaten at Taco Time. I find most the chain Mexican places to be similar. Quesada, Fat Bastard Burrito, Quac, Mucho Burrito, BarBURRITO, etc. Taco Bell's made a push back into relevance though.

Then bring back Chi Chi's!!!!
