Springer is pretty terrible with risp the whole season.

Bases loaded with no out. Springer swings first pitch when the pitcher had literally walked the ballpark. Promptly grounds into a double play. Couple pitches later out of the inning all together. Awful. I mean atleast they got 1 on the double play I guess lol.

He hasn’t even been that bad lol. I blame Sportsnet for trying to make him look like he was the new Mariano Rivera with that goofy ass closer intro lol.

 

Hes 23-26 in saves. He’s actually pretty good he’s just by no means elite or shut down. But he’s going to do the job the majority of the time. None of his numbers stand out though.

23-26 is not bad at all. I thought it was much worse, but I would guess these numbers do not include the games that he blew but jays came back to win them, is that right?

I mean hes come into some tie game situations late. Or extra innings with the ghost runner and gave up the lead. But hes been good most of the time. Can’t really blame him to much. He’s also not making much money. Its not like he signed a huge deal is under performing. I just feel he’s the least of our problems. Im all for adding another late inning arm so he doesn’t have to pitch as often though.
