Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 So we know Manoah was garbo, what’s the offense excuse tonight? Jays always struggle against openers and bullpen days.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 ********. Throw the fastball until he can. 20 f***ing sliders and only 4 innthe zone is terrible. 27 sliders and only 7 in the zone...those pitchers aren't working unless you throw the fastball. He tried 1 fastball up. He used mainly a sinker. Those are both terrible approaches combined with those offspeed pitches
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 Pearson calling all offspeed again...wow. these pitchers can't call games
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 So we know Manoah was garbo, what’s the offense excuse tonight? poop.gif
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 55% breaking balls for Pearson. Super job calling his own game Or maybe the idiot behind the plate calls too many offspeed pitches instead of focusing on getting ahead in the count
frizzer1 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 What’s up ( or rather down) with pearson’s velo? Are they purposefully dialing it back?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 Springer to AAA Horwitz is better
TorontonianJD Verified Member Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 Vladdy leg injury? Limping walking off from that strike out.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 If Pearson wasn't so injury prone I would have tried to stretch him out and use him as a SP (gradually working the innings/pitch count up) but that ain't happening, so it's gotta be Mitch White at this point and accept whatever results come out of it. Manoah is broken and needs to be fixed. Maybe they could use him as an opener for Mitch White starts. And if he breezes through the first inning then let him throw a second inning. Then maybe make him available for his bullpen days too. See if he can get through a season of that and then next year explore making him a starter again.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 Vladdy leg injury? Limping walking off from that strike out. Fouled a ball off his knee.
bronson44 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 Sit down Boone. You have a 6 run lead in the 8th
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 That was an absolutely horrendous strike call
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 Announcers just noticing that Kirk tips pitches as a catcher and Judge was looking for it lmao
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 What was Judge looking at there? Kirk tips all pitches as either fastball or offspeed with his catcher stance and glove
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 What was Judge looking at there? I don't know, but he's lucky this isn't 20 years ago. If he did that to someone like Clemens, he'd be on his ass the next pitch.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 Judge ain’t looking at Kirk, he’s looking into his own dugout. Someone is relaying signs to the batter.
harvey16 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2023 Author Posted May 16, 2023 Judges definitely getting something relayed to him from the dugout. f***en cheater!
Knowitall Verified Member Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 What was Judge looking at there? Defensive positioning or the hot chick in row 3.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 Judge ain’t looking at Kirk, he’s looking into his own dugout. Someone is relaying signs to the batter. Cause they can see Kirk then. That 2nd one looked like Kirk not the dugout, either way Kirk tips pitches
el duque Verified Member Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 odd are minimal here but the last game was lot and we won, 7 more!
Jays333 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 What a stinker. What is Manoah still doing at the major league level? Our rotation starts at Gausman, Bassit is 2, Manoah/whoever replaces him from the minors is 5.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 Take it, lets get on a festivus miracle tonight!
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 Lol, the only guy in mlb that couldn’t beat that out. Kirk
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 Kirk is so f***ing slow dude. That ball was on the ground forever
