Absolutely crazy how easily everyone is laying off his slider this year. You can tell the hitters pick it up almost instantaneously.

You think we have a negative run differential at home this year? Am I reading that right?

We are 12-3 at home this year entering today.

Best in franchise history, lol.

Looks like it’s time for Manoa to see a minor-league stent. Didn’t halladay have to go down at some point?

Jansen needs to catch his next start to see if that makes a difference, if not we need to send him down. Look at Halladay he got sent down all the way to single A before he figured his s*** out. We might need to do this to Manoah. His confidence is completely gone.

Cause he's not locating his 4 seamer, they'll just spit on the slider, he's all out of whack right now.

Wouldn't it be nice if we see Kloffenstein keep performing and make an unforeseen appearance in the bigs in the next month?

lol

I guess John S has decided we just don’t want to win tonight.

If he needs to work things out let him do it in Buffalo.

You can’t tell me this isn’t more humiliating than being demoted to AAA. Dude was allowed to walk 7 batters in a Major League game against a division rival.

Nothing he threw tonight was competitive.

Ok, now I have a small concern. How the f*** do you throw three consecutive off speed pitches to Volpe with Pearson on the mound? They got away with one there. f***ing stupid..

Nothing will change until Manoah gets back to throwing his 4 seam and attacking hitters

19 changeups 16% in the zone vs only 14 4 seam

He needs to locate it first, dude. Right now he can't.

Well I just jumped on to check the score. Yikes, Manoah!

There are buses leaving for Buffalo three times a day from downtown Toronto.

Ross, Mark, you know what to do.

********. Throw the fastball until he can. 20 f***ing sliders and only 4 innthe zone is terrible. 27 sliders and only 7 in the zone...those pitchers aren't working unless you throw the fastball. He tried 1 fastball up. He used mainly a sinker. Those are both terrible approaches combined with those offspeed pitches

If Pearson wasn't so injury prone I would have tried to stretch him out and use him as a SP (gradually working the innings/pitch count up) but that ain't happening, so it's gotta be Mitch White at this point and accept whatever results come out of it. Manoah is broken and needs to be fixed.

If he makes it through this season...they may think about it, but then not make the switch leaving him in the bullpen is my guess

Having him pitch a multi inning role is how they’re trying to build him back up, very very gradually. As much as I personally think they should abandon him as a starter completely and just let him air out as a reliever and try to get him into a high leverage role, I’m betting that if he makes it through this season unscathed and gets close to 100-110 IP …we’ll see him as a starter option in spring next season.
