Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Well atleast Swanson and Garcia were efficient. We get Gerrit Cole tomorrow so this was a big dub tonight.

Slade Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 f*** this division. At least we don't have to play 18 games against all of them any more.
WryNGinger Verified Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 From Mike Wilner Since starting the season 1-for-23, Brandon Belt is hitting .350. Big night tonight, good for him
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 From Mike Wilner Since starting the season 1-for-23, Brandon Belt is hitting .350. Big night tonight, good for him Yeah it’s just his last 6 games. 7 for 20 with 2 walks, 6 K. The 4 games prior to that thought…0-16 with 11 Ks and just 1 walk. He was some kinda messed up in that stretch.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 At least we don't have to play 18 games against all of them any more. True. Baltimore will tail off soon when their hitting goes into a slump, their pitching is awful.

This line up makes you sea-sick with the ups and downs...lol. 9 players with an average under .250 and the other 5 above .300. Crazy disparity this early in the season.
BCZ Verified Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Vlad looking top f***in notch.. Ks down, HRs up, walks up... yadda yadda

Also the Rays can't keep this streak going...score 3 in the bottom of the 9th to win it. Btw, as much as I like the guy,I think they have to move on from Biggio, no more excuses.

I see no reason why Merrifield wouldn't be the main guy at 2B.

Merrifield too obviously but he’s gone after the year.

Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Was gonna say, Lopez has the same wRC+ in AAA as Biggio has in MLB right now

WryNGinger Verified Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 What a weird thing to share with the media. Why would they tell this very specific thing with anyone? Who would have told anyone this? Schneider? Biggio? It's like they are trying to get ahead of the "dump this guy" narrative and made it look very clumsy.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Biggio still has options maybe both him and the team can make a decision about going down to Buffalo to figure his s*** out. If you can get him right hes a very valuable piece. He's not even taking his walks this year.

Dude just hasn’t been the same since the 3B experiment in 2021. Maybe a mental thing, maybe his numbers were a mirage with the juiced ball or something.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 If they can send down Jose and Teo in the past why not this guy. They have sent him down in the past, it's too early in the season for them to make that type of move.

I think he needs some time (the rest of his career) in the KBO where he belongs. I’ve been saying it for years but if this guy’s dad wasn’t in the HoF he’d be out of professional baseball by now.
Jarry Verified Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Looks like Kikuchi is the ace of this team
Ryu In My House Verified Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 At least we don't have to play 18 games against all of them any more. Exactly, thank gawd for a balanced schedule now. We get to play the s***** teams way more.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 That's actually pretty good compared to some of these Umps this season lol.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 That's actually pretty good compared to some of these Umps this season lol. I've come to the realization that the strike zone we see on TV is definitely not quite where the real StatCast zone is. All of those pitches that we see very clearly outside the TV zone are usually on the edge in some way. But then sometimes they just f*** it up like with the Belt call. He also was very clearly unable to call that one part of the zone properly. Those calls are all well within the zone.
