Yeah Moreno is super versatile. That's fully backed up by the whopping total of 9 innings he's played at positions other than catcher, all of which occurred in the 2022 season while still a Blue Jay.

Probably because his best position is Catcher and should absolutely be catching whenever possible. The point is he could play several different positions.

I think the only reason the team even bothered using Moreno at any positions instead of catcher was due to having 3 MLB starter quality catchers on the roster, vs Moreno being some kind of actual super utility player candidate. He's yet to play a single inning at anywhere other than catcher since he debuted into a catching logjam situation.

Good for him. Bad second half last year but didn’t think he was ready to retire. If we didn’t have so many 4th OF types already he would have been a nice fit against lefties.

Good for him, he's an easy guy to root for. Completely unproblematic, seemingly a hard worker, and always hustles.
