bluejaysinternNo5 Verified Member Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 I know he gave up 3 runs but he honestly didn't look awful.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 Let's see if he settles in. Berrios has always been prone to bad 1st innings. Hes been prone to having all kinds of bad innings.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 How do Shapiro and Atkins get to this level of baseball management without having a single clue how to assess pitching? Completely agree. Bassit is a terrible signing given what they already had. We absolutely needed a strikeout guy with the shift elimination.
el duque Verified Member Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 let's get those run back and pray Berrios will find a way
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 How do Shapiro and Atkins get to this level of baseball management without having a single clue how to assess pitching? They had lots of pitching success in Cleveland I’m not sure where the disconnect is but it’s concerning. Mike M is bang on they lack velocity and K’s Manoah, Berrios, Bassitt are all guys who project under a K/9
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 The new renovations to the ballpark might have no one there with the way things are going lol.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 I know know know its early and *shits pants* and all that but wtf do they do if Berrios, Bassitt and Kikuchi keep sucking? With this lineup they really just need mid SP after Manoah and Gausman, but these guys are looking like they might take us out of games early. Would they move 2 20M+ guys to the bullpen? I can't see them eating any of this money so releases don't seem possible. They had lots of pitching success in Cleveland I’m not sure where the disconnect is but it’s concerning. Mike M is bang on they lack velocity and K’s Manoah, Berrios, Bassitt are all guys who project under a K/9 Don't be questioning the greatness of our front office or you'll get blocked by idiots on this board who think this rotation is a contender.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 What a truly horrifying contract Berrios is a great example of how premature extensions are risky. He was about as sure-shot consistent as they come
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Does it ever feel that team's have our pitchcom
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Cleveland drafts College guys with good command and spin, and they teach them to throw harder. They are forced to be good at a niche like this because they have no money. In Toronto they have money so they have not been forced to be good at anything in particular. So they have no niche. And they aren't great at spending money.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Pretty crazy, no one predicted this kind of performance fall off did they? How could you?
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 I thought that was hit a lot farther off the bat
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Does it ever feel that team's have our pitchcom Every time Berrios pitches. Im still convinced he’s tipping somehow
jaysthebest Verified Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Don't worry guys. Berrios will pitch better once he faces weak batting. The Royals have one of the best batting in the league.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Of course kirk is the one on the bases. Chappy is the man
Masterbather Verified Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 That was some terrible defense.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Why is Chapman hitting so low? Dude has been on fire.
mellowgold Verified Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 LOL Kirk. How do you not score on that with two out?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 It’s absolutely embarrassing that Kirk couldn’t score on that.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 And why is he not sprinting on contact with two out ffs
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Did Kirk forget how many outs there were? Or is he that painfully slow? Ughh...
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 I get it not the start we wanted but the doom and gloom is stupid in this thread
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 It's game 4 you Chicken Littles I don’t think i’ve ever been this worried about a season in the first few games. Every player we were worried about has been awful. Like worse than we expected.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Lose some weight ya fat f*** lol Should have traded Kirk, kept Moreno like I said
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
