Laika Community Moderator Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 Kikuchi looked like an ace for a month or two last season as well. Then he fell apart. Hopefully he stays locked in this time. he was pretty good in May, yeah
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 I think Pearson just cemented his roster spot. You can't put a guy throwing like this in AAA. Yeah and we might as well get innings out of him while he's healthy too.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 Damn. 9Ks in 5 innings. Tight tight tight!

glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 Yeah when Nate is healthy he should be on the big league club at this point. No sense wasting whatever bullets he has on minor league batters.

The "when Nate is healthy he should be with the big club" has been pretty much true for the past 3 seasons, he's just never been healthy enough for it to happen.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 I feel like there's a decent chance Berrios hits the DL at some point with "arm fatigue" How come, that dude is the poster boy for innings pitched?
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 How come, that dude is the poster boy for innings pitched? He means that if Berrios continues to suck, he might suddenly come down with case of “arm fatigue” that requires a stint on the IL
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 I think there's something to the pitch clock getting him out of his head, less thinking the better. Yup, Pete, Jano and Yusei himself said it's helped him.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 He means that if Berrios continues to suck, he might suddenly come down with case of “arm fatigue” that requires a stint on the IL Berrios doesn't suck, though. Last season was a concern, but c'mon.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 Berrios doesn't suck, though. Last season was a concern, but c'mon. He doesn't suck, obviously, but there has been a concerning trend.

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 Maybe they’ll try the new buzzword now going around when talking about pitchers and being shut down - elbow maintenance. "Elbow maintenance" is clearly slang for jackin' it.
