connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 Imagine being a fan of a professional sports team and they look like World Series favorites on paper but then they get swept up by the obesity epidemic of all things and get knocked out in the first round. Welcome to sports hell everyone. I genuinely wonder nowadays if a coach can say “move your fat ass”…
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 JS said he knew of the plan in his presser. This don't add up, lol.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 This don't add up, lol. It can.... Berrios knew of the plan but not the reasoning.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 This don't add up, lol. yea who knows - something could be lost in translation
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 This don't add up, lol. Jays season ending how it did must remind you of your fantasy teams. Torch the place or not
Ehjays Verified Member Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 Jomboy has done a breakdown on Berrios being taken out with the sequencing

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 And yours missing the dance floor is what, exactly? Rebuilds. No question on direction
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 Jomboy has done a breakdown on Berrios being taken out with the sequencing That was pure filth, lol.

hanton Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 He was so dialed in Im sick to my stummy I know, so sweet seing Berrios pumped up and totally dialed in. He would have gone 7/8 innings easily, give the offense a chance. ....Like wtf are you doing

He would have gone 7/8 innings easily, give the offense a chance. ....Like wtf are you doing The offense were given multiple chances lol. Gausman didn't have it in the first game, but the bullpen locked the f*** in and blanked the Twins the rest of the way for 4 innings. Game 2, Kikuchi BLEW UP...to the extent of 2 runs, and that was it. The bullpen following him yet again completely shut down the Twins for another 3.1 IP. What did the offense do? The pitching or controversial Berrios to Kikuchi decision didn't lose us the series.

Maybe the decision maker (or makres) is at fault? ever consider that? in which case it would explain the lack of run support as well (on top of the idotic move to trake out Berrios). Atkins has to go, a total change in philosphy is needed and that's not happening with the current regime
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 I would not be at all surprised to see an Atkins resignation before the New Year. He may step down to some other position in the org and Click to take the reins. Then some time before spring training he will get a job elsewhere and leave quietly. That's how Shapiro does things. It's his way.

The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 That sounds like a goodbye.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 That sounds like a goodbye. For sure
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 His contract is up, of course he's going to say bye to the fans, lol.
Sorrow Verified Member Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 I’d leave too He still wants to start and I don't see a way to get him starting time next season. Varsho will be in CF where he's a younger and better defender (at this point in their careers) with more offensive upside. Unless he wanted to be a 4th OF (which he likely doesn't) I don't see a way for him to actually make sense on the roster.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 none of the fa's are coming back, or least it would be rare for them to do so

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 Belt, might... that's if he doesn't retire. He gone
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 Really no interest at all in Belt again Don't need a guy who strains his back 4x per year then takes a week every time to find his swing and is just a coinflip to be healthy and helpful come crunch time.
