Good he has sorted some things out about his swing and he goes on a tear after the AS break.

 

Bad he thinks that there is not, nor has been anything wrong and his approach doesn’t change.

Just was saying the schedule wasn't as easy as it seemed before and I was getting so much hate for it lol. Nothing is ever easy in baseball and we can't assume the Jays are going to go on a huge run because they're all of a sudden playing teams below .500 haha. The team didn't take advantage of what was considered an easy schedule before the All Star Break. Hopefully they can do some damage against the White Sox and Tigers and end the first half on a strong note.

I think the HR derby will do him good. He hasn't hit many HRs in the first half so hopefully the Derby wakes up his power in the second half!

Apparently they needed a Second Baseman and not another Shortstop. They also weigh fan voting into reserves now apparently?

 

It's really a stupid system. Even with the every team needing an All-Star this should not have occurred.

Franco has been one of the best players in the AL this season. Very disappointing he didn't make it. Might still make it as a reserve if some players opt out or because of injury.

Wander Franco is really the only omission in the AL.

 

But holy f*** the NL

 

Tatis Jr has 3 WAR and missed pretty much all of April

 

Katel Marte has 15 homeruns and 2.3 WAR as a Second Baseman

 

David Bednar arguably the best closer in Baseball didn’t make it with his insane numbers

 

Maybe get rid of AL and NL and make sure the best player’s play regardless of position. Any SS can slide over to 3B or 2B in an All-Star game setting.

 

Having Whit there kinda comical. Not as bad as Espinal last year but taking a spot from Wander Franco annoys me.

 

You could make a case for Chapman he has 2.7 WAR this season. Even him missing over Whit is dumb. Whit doesn’t even play 2B full time. He has tons of OF starts.
