He was f***ing massive with the Brewers in his best season. Towards the end of his career he tried to lose weight to help his injury/health issues and it had the opposite effect.

Now as a retiree, he’s in incredible shape. He chose to remain fat while he played.

Brewers? Anyhow fair enough, but he roughly s*** the bed at just 31 years of age and on.

Fat guy ages poorly definitely checks out lol

Ohtani's value is underrated because his value is compressed into a single roster spot. He honestly might be more valuable than roided up Barry Bonds.

Here to say, depends what a team gets out of the extra roster spot. Suffice to say it’s really really really valuable to have a guy who pitches like a 1-2 and hits 40-50% above league average as a hitter at the same time.

Ohtani wouldn't consider Toronto for moment. Don't get your hopes up kids. It's West Coast or Yankees.

He is an alcoholic. Got sober in 2015. Good on him. That and a lot of working out and Mediterranean diet helped. He has talked about battling addiction openly and that probably didn't help his weight struggles for at least some of his career.

Mets for 600M is my guess at the moment

Meta are literally imploding. Max Scherzer just asked for a trade.

Ohtani said he had dreams of wearing Yankees pinstripes and hitting Homeruns at Yankee Stadium.

Lets make a bet, you taking the Yankees, and I'll take the Dodgers. What say you Jonn?

I mean I think there’s a very good chance he signs with the Dodgers. I did say West Coast or Yankees.

Has Vegas even put out odds yet?

Many places have put out “hypothetical” odds…. Dodgers are the favourites at +250, followed by the Mets at +350, Yankees at +450.

I don't know, what does that matter, you betting?

I will in the off-season or once I know the Angels won’t make the post season. I can see some craziness ahead of the Deadline. Including one of these teams acquiring him to get early negotiation rights. Still way to much up in the air.

You know darn well Moreno won’t trade him and will lose him for nothing more than a comp pick. That’s just so Moreno.

The Dodgers basically did nothing this past winter in preparation for going after Ohtani. They’ll get him IMO, and I think the total value starts with 6. I doubt he’d even consider Toronto if the money is anywhere near equal, and the Jays won’t be blowing the Dodgers and Cohen out the water with an offer so that’s a pipe dream.

I thought Ohtani already said that he would prefer to stay on the west coast to be as close to Japan as possible. Isn't that also why the Dodgers did f*** all last offseason when they are usually one of the most active? I think its safe to assume he is going to be a Dodger.

They've basically been saving and shaving to sign the Man, for nearly 2 years. He'll be a Dodger and he won't even have to uproot family, it's a no brainer.

This needs to go in the gambling thread! :P

I like the Yankees at +450

Pretty sure Ohtani is going to Baltimore.

That explains why Baltimore didn't spend any money this past offseason! All part of the plan!
