No wonder nobody likes him

There has to be some weight to the comment though, he's a ten year major league vet, I doubt it's all chalked up to recency bias.

I wonder who he’s talking about. None of their main guys (Lindor, Alonso, Nimmo, Alvarez, McNeil, Marte) give off that vibe at all. And those guys have delivered, outside of Marte, whose skills seems to have eroded at 34. Their problem seems to be the implosion of their pitching staff and to a lesser extent a lack of positional player depth.

There is this perception that people don't like Tommy Pham because Joc Pederson doesn't like him and he got stabbed at the strippers that one time.

But I have heard multiple people say on podcasts that they love Tommy Pham. Blake Snell almost cried when the Rays traded him away.

I think he is one of those guys that you just love or hate. The media and casual fans who can't do 10 pushups like to villainize these guys but in reality most athletes love passionate teammates like this. I mean, you love them until they are on the other side of the field.

It only mildly changes it. It makes Pham's comment seem measured rather than flippant.

I think the defense of the veterans is just lip service though. Like the context there seems to spare Lindor, but then at the end of it that is contradicted by Lindor himself thanking Pham for "teaching him how to work hard"!!! So was he working hard enough or not!?

Alonso and Vogelbach definitely just eat wonderbread and play pool

Rays promote Junior Caminero

lmao

This kid is a monster. He is going to destroy the Jays in these 6 games if he gets any playing time.

Wow, he's so young, didn't see this happening this season.

Also, he's way too low by fangraphs, Longenhagen's dumb.

Not enough people know about Wyatt Langford and Junior Caminero. They could very well be the #2 and #3 prospects in baseball right now.

BA has him 5, Pipeline 6, BP in the top 50 and Fangraphs 105? :P

Oops I see he's at 11, the board wasn't uploading, so I checked their latest top 100, that makes sense.

What kind of unhinged moron picks fights with people on Twitter though?? Especially as an athlete, making millions, having the visibility he does.

He just seems like a grade A douchebag. The type of guy to want to “step outside” because he didn’t like the way you made a joke about his shoes.

Could also falter big time against actual MLB pitchers. Lets hope he stumbles out of the gate

Junior Caminero looks like a force for years to come. He destroyed AA in his age 19 season.

Rays lose Franco and replace him with Caminero. Crazy development

Texas should probably call up Langford at this point. He’s probably making the opening day roster and you’re fighting to get into the playoffs.

The new rules for rookies has made it so that teams are incentivized to call up these guys to help them down the stretch and then begin their rookie year in the bigs. Good for the players

I remember targeting Caminero in all dynasty leagues last year and getting him in exactly none of them.

And they fleeced the Guardians for him. For what ended up being a nothing SP prospect (Tobias Myers) in return who they traded for cash considerations like 6 months later.

Insane

Lesson learned: When they Rays ask you for a prospect in return, whomever they ask for, he's a keeper.

Just saw Glasnow is making $25m next year, there has to be greater than 95% chance he gets traded. Career high innings too

You’re not wrong. I’d say the odds of him being in Tampa’s rotation next season is 25% or less.

Should call up the Rays once a season just to see which guys they like
