There was a DR guy from the baseball community saying these accusations happen very frequently in the DR and other countries from South America. Basically said wait the process. So if the reporting is true and the girl's parents agreed to Wander dating their daughter, Wander still gets a lengthy suspension, minimum. I doubt his MLB playing days are over, unless the DR charges and convicts him (extremely unlikely).

Karl Malone was a judge at the dunk contest this year and is still celebrated. Maybe MLB players are more likely to react poorly than NBA players but I don't think they care as much as one might hope.
