Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Bobby Miller and a first for deGrom is a good offer Spanky. What price would you have been willing to accept? That's just it, I didn't want to trade him, why would I??? He's the type of pitcher you look to acquire trying to win. The offer was light, you'd trade a healthy deGrom for Miller and a 1st?

glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Yup, after the balancing of the schedule the next clear improvement should be a divisional realignment. Go back to 4 divisions, AL/NL East/West. Probably won’t happen until we get 2 more expansion teams though to balance the numbers. Top 3 from each division make the playoffs, top 4 all get a bye. Its not perfect but its way better than multiple 90+ win teams missing the playoffs in favor of the Guardians with 88 wins I think Manfred already said that once they add 2 expansion teams that it will be 4 divisions of 4 in each league, so they won’t go back to 2 divisions even with an even number of teams. Hopefully in that scenario if MLB suggests that the Jays go into a division with Central teams in it that Shapiro won’t pull a Beeston and demand to be in the Yankees/Red Sox/Orioles division instead. Otherwise I agree. The Central teams making it while quality teams have to miss out (possibly the Jays) would be a joke.

Games getting canceled now in NY, Jays should be safe with the dome but they’re saying it’ll be closed roof today

If the ALE got reduced to 4 it would probably be Tampa moving, making us stuck with Yankees/Redsox/Os That's at least a little better as the Rays have historically been a real thorn in the Jays side.

Well for the Bronx, their air quality index is into the Hazardous range, so they're cancelled for the night for sure.

wilko Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Crazy, man. That's pretty much what I've been looking at for the past month.

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 458 feet but yeah I thought Campbell said 468, during the game.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2023 Author Posted June 8, 2023 I thought Campbell said 468, during the game. He said nearly 460 feet. 114.8 mph off the bat. Destroyed that pitch “That ball had a family!!”

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Probably will be like that in Toronto tomorrow morning.
