Grayson debut coming up after all. Tomorrow

 

Due to injury no? Bradish got hit with a comebacker and had to come out, Tyler Wells ended up pitching in relief so they need at least a spot start.

 

Either way, should be exciting to watch

Yeah, I think if he pitches well, he stays. Sounds like he’ll maybe get one more start if the first start doesn’t go well. Bradish X-ray negative but if you’ve even been hit with a baseball in the foot/ankle, and can imagine what 105 there feels like, you’d imagine Bradish will miss at least the next start too, as he has to plant that foot repeatedly.

Sandy Alcántara threw another CG shutout yesterday. Gives him 7 since the start of 2022 - more than any other team has combined amongst all their pitchers.

Early numbers on the shift ban

 

Left-handed hitters, the hitters most impacted by the shift, have a .246/.328/.421 batting line with a .290 BABIP entering play Wednesday. They had a .229/.323/.362 line with a .274 BABIP the first six days of last season. It's early, but lefties are once again outperforming righties. The opposite was true the last few years

 

still a relatively small sample size overall and there's more factors involved than JUST the shift, but ... all signs point to progress

Last year they were messing with the ball again and early on offense was down big

So Jason Heyward is the latest project that the Dodgers decided to rebuild into All-Star form.

 

He has 2 home runs already one of which was 113 mph off the bat.

Coming of a bunch of hammy injuries too, he's likely not as fast as he used to be, which was pretty close to top precentile in 2022.

Idk maybe the full angle shows him jogging but he seemed to be running to me
