How do we know Peter and Kim aren't two people, like one of those shared couple accounts on Facebook?

It's more likely a scenario of Laika and petekim being one and the same

You guys are dense, it's clear my comment related to the resident clown, petekim

How is it clear, its pointing up to jaysblue's post.

Having a cluster of good prospects is like 15% of the equation. The Orioles should have started ramping up this offseason.

Yeah they screwed up this offseason and it's going to have big implications for next year.

Even if things break right for them, they'll need a minimum of 2 starting pitchers next year and one of them needs to be top of the line. If Grayson Rodriguez doesn't look like a frontline starter then both of them probably need to be top tier.

If things don't break right for them then they might need 3 or even 4 starting pitchers. Impossible for them to accomplish in 1 offseason.

And that's just their rotation. The bullpen will need work. But among the non-Rutschman-Henderson-Mullins position player group, I think most of them project to be sub 2 WAR players moving forward. Their prospects will help but they'll need to make a couple of signings here as well.

Add it all up and these cheapskates are going to need a monumental offseason to whip this team into a contender in 2024. We are probably talking upwards of $200 to $300 million dollars worth of contracts. And given their history I don't see it happening.

Don't discount the possibility of a trade. With the # of prospects they have they could land at least 1 pretty good starter from somewhere.

8 prospects on the top 100 probably translates to what... 2 or 3 good MLB players and then a bunch of guys you need to either trade at good times or watch bust?

I think two years ago Toronto had 7 or 8 on top 100 lists.

Groshans, Kirk, Moreno, Pearson, Manoah, Martinez, Martin, SWR.

5 of those 8 are firmly in the "should have sold" category and Toronto did sell three of them. Two bad keeps (Orelvis and Pearson).

Two good keeps.

One who was traded and it won't be clear for probably 2 years whether or not that was a good decision (Moreno).

I was a little spicy when they traded SWR.

Geolocation puts peterkim in Alberta, and Laika in Ontario.

vpn?

Seems like more trouble than its worth to do that on the off chance a mod from here would care enough to check... Not like we'd ban a good forum member for the poor judgment of irritating the rest of us, just mock them mercilessly forever.

Trade news: All-Star second baseman Luis Arraez is going to the Miami Marlins and right-hander Pablo Lopez is headed to the Minnesota Twins, sources tell ESPN. Deal is done. Players are being informed right now. More are involved.

Infielder Jose Salas and one other prospect are heading to Minnesota along with Pablo López, source tells @TheAthletic. Salas, 19, is the Marlins’ No. 5 prospect, per @MLBPipeline. First on his inclusion: @CraigMish

Lol I've been telling you all that this lady running the Marlins simply cannot get enough of these slap hitters!! Lmao she just cannot help herself.

Trade her Espinal for another one of their starting pitchers please

Posted

Not only is Espinal better than most of the other twelve slap hitters that they have on their roster, he's also a lot cuter which I know she really cares about as well!

Send some chocolates to her office and give her a call ASAP Ross!

Twins have themselves a damn fine rotation now.

Ryan, Mahle, Lopez, Gray, Ober? and others... *(Not in any particular order)

Maeda too

It's incredibly deep.

They also have Megill, Paddack (second half), Maeda, SWR, Winder, Balazovic, Ronny Henriquez, Cole Sands...

But I don't see a #1 and I don't really see a #2. Weak as f*** at the top.

They have like 6 #3 SP though.

I don't know, a W is a W no matter.. I would rather have a realistic chance at a W 5 days in a week then just a 80% chance two days of the week and a crap shoot from my 4 and 5...

I just wonder how they plan to score runs. It's Correa and.... half a season from Buxton. Lewis' knee could implode at any time. Vasquez sucks, Polanco sucks, Kirilloff sucks, Gordon sucks, Mirands sucks.

I've seen offenses suck before but this might be the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked.

Yeah that lineup sucks so bad. They need to make another trade.

Looking at their top prospects that are close, they have another slap hitting SS/3b and an OF in Wallner who's ceiling is compared to Joey Gallo, who the Twins also picked up via FA and hope he can somehow no longer suck.

Yeah it doesn't look great. And pretty fragile. Correa and Buxton are injury risks and then a lot of the other interesting guys are young and performance risks, or also injury risks.

Polanco, Miranda, Kepler, Lewis are decent looking. Larnach and Kiriloff might yield an okay hitter between them.

Gallo is no longer the guy you put in at the 8 spot and hope he can hit while providing some decent defense and base running. He's now a middle of the order bat that they are relying on to produce. Yikes.
