Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Ffs, want to buy consistent starting pitching? Good luck. Yeah its crazy, Berrios is arguably one of the most consistent pitchers in baseball over the past 4 seasons. And he’s young, not like he’s past his prime.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Crap, I actually agree with Tabler that Berrios needs to wear this one rather than going to the pen. It’s a sad f***in day when I agree with Tabler.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Dear god...there's not even any underlying stats to pull hope from...

Dagagad Verified Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Who gets cut first...Ryu, Kikuchi, Berrios, the entire pen, Montoyo, Walker If we miss the playoffs, the coaches. It should be the front office.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Tellez worth more in 2 PAs than Richards has been worth all of '22 And Francis has completely s*** the bed in AAA. Ross got worked over on that one.

It’s a sad f***in day when I agree with Tabler. Agree. Well the good news for the pen is Berrios is at the same pitch count through 2 than Kooch is usually at after 1.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 You can be consistent facing KC, DET, CHW, CLE Ok but he was still great against teams like the Yankees and Sox last year with us
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Who gets cut first...Ryu, Kikuchi, Berrios, the entire pen, Montoyo, Walker Ryu’s injury has effectively resulted in him being cut. Then I think it would be Walker, then Montoyo. Nobody gonna cut a guy in the first year of a 7 year deal, and Kikuchi would probably just relegated to the pen until he becomes tradeable
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 If we miss the playoffs, the coaches. It should be the front office. Agree, if the playoffs are missed there need to be several firings
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Dear god...there's not even any underlying stats to pull hope from... Chase rate and walk rate. Pretty much means his fastball isn’t being located well enough to make the offspeed stuff in the zone effective
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Move Bo down in the order damnit. s*** OBP
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 And Bichette is still dogshit. Everything coming apart at the seems at once
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 You can also be consistent with an umpire up your ass lol
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Dear god...there's not even any underlying stats to pull hope from... That is brutal
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Where JF at? Does he have any new accounts? His moment to shine
AttackOfTheJays Verified Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Who gets cut first...Ryu, Kikuchi, Berrios, the entire pen, Montoyo, Walker Probably Walker before anyone else. You can't fire the pitchers especially on those contracts. Every start I hear about how they've "tweaked" something and they come out even worse.

Didn’t we hear about how Giolito “tweaked” his delivery before his start against the jays last week?
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Walker certainly not waking on water anymore. Probably wouldn’t have made it past the DWI if it was now

Probably wouldn’t have made it past the DWI if it was now Maybe it’ll actually help if he’s fired. Didn’t the Yankees fire their pitching coach in the offseason? Their rotation immediately became one of the best in baseball overnight. Pen was solid last year and still is.
Dagagad Verified Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 What pisses me off is this kills our window. These incompetent f***s are going to have to trade more assets for more pitching when we have already spent enough assets on that. We should be good. They aren’t good at it, and instead of us competing for 5/6/7/8 years it’s going to be like 3 more because they need to keep dumping assets into pitching because we f***ing suck at it. I’m going for a walk.

JFD Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Rogers should maybe stop hiring fake smart guys like Atkins and Dubas
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Front office been spotty as f*** when throwing money at pitchers. At least berrios was good before the extension but so much money has been wasted all literal shitcans like Jaime Garcia, Rourke and kooch.
Dagagad Verified Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Well, sticking your head in the sand isn’t going to make it any better. Have to get it somehow I’d rather tell them not to sell any high value asset, clear house in the winter and hire guys from the rays or the astros. In the medium and long run, we’ll be better off. Or just fire everyone involved with pitching dev, and hire guys from the rays or astros. And no, waiting a long ass time for results. Other teams have got quick results in pitching dev. Other teams can cobble together bullpens and rotations and get results. We suck at this period.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Wonder what Chuck will say about Berrios. We’ll see
