For anyone who's been paying attention Romano's command has been mediocre all year even when he gets away with it. I told my buddy it's going to be a high-wire act in the 9th, and here it is.

Ehhh that’s not really true. Its more hit and miss with him. Sometimes he’s on and dominant hitting the corners and sometimes he’s not

I’d ask some f***ing questions about our pitching development.

How does pitching development help the current BP situation?

Somehow Pete Walker has this magic aura of turning s*** into gold and yet our history of developing our own pitchers is pathetic... something doesn't add up lol

The Ump literally cost us this game now. We would have had 5 R if that pitch were called correct and have a W now.

Luis Robert: Only (infield) shifted against 14% of the time this season (.450 wOBA vs shift this year).

> Shifted against in 9th inning tonight

One heck of a play from Zimmer. Enjoy the rest of the game everyone. The Manfred man is the signal for me to go to bed. No more real baseball will be played tonight.

That's why I say mediocre, mediocre is average between garbage and pretty good, but most nights if you look at where he's trying to throw it and where it ends up going it really hasn't been very good. At least by the standard of a closer on a supposed contender.

So Graveman was available, and La Russa just decided not to use him to protect the lead in the 8th?
