Springer on the bench tonight… after DHing yesterday…

Kinda annoying at this point. Is he injured? Does he really need this much time off?

I really don't think this is worth getting so worked up about. Springer hasn't exactly been a picture of health through his career. He has a stated goal of appearing in 150 games this season, and up to this point is on track to appear in 155 games. It appears as though the careful load management has been effective in keeping him healthy and on the field. If he continues his current pace he'll be worth 5 FWAR over the course of the season.

Yeah it's like Kawhi in Toronto

It's fine with me if it works

Not an issue with that Springer is getting some more time off; we will need him a lot this season and I trust that the coaching staff know what they are doing. When he plays he will produce(At least obviously that is the hope). The lineup itself is solid enough and I think we can come out the winners in this one.

Lorenzen has been solid enough for the Angels with an ERA just north of 3. Hopefully Kikuchi can matchup to him and we can get the win.

He did. Zero cutters last few starts. Wow.

April 29 = first game without throwing the cutter. He was bad that game but good in the subsequent games.

Since dropping his cutter:

3.33 ERA

3.39 FIP

11.47 K/9

4.81 BB/9

0.74 HR/9

That includes the April 29th stinker. And has one HOU game and two NYY games...

What a terrible duo in the 8 & 9 spot, yikes.

Incredible, every at bat I've seen of Biggio he's had a one strike count and watched a fastball go right down the middle for strike 2. You probably shouldn't have a "patient" hitting approach when you whiff 50 % of the time.
