Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2022 Author Posted August 7, 2022 I understand why when it comes to Deadpool, he's inherited a heart condition from covid, I believe. Congestive heart failure, and cognitive issues (I'm in a drug study for those issues, and have to take 6 pills a day for my heart now.)

Laika Community Moderator Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 I had Covid this spring and now all of my boners last for more than two hours. Is this long Covid?
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 I had trouble swallowing a Viagra and ever since I have had a stiff neck..
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 You know at least one, f***face. Lmao, I actually don't... Majority of people in my life are healthier than most people though, majority eat healthy & exercise....That could be a factor...
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 I haven’t seen any racism myself so it doesn’t exist Racism isn't as extreme as society makes it out to be, neither was/is covid... Great point, Stang.

That's the beauty of being able to have an opinion Jim, some people are better at allowing others to have one though. For things I am not educated / trained in, I don't make guesses. Guesses are OK if it relates to something one has education / expertise in, then its an educated guess, and should only be done if the consequences of a wrong guess are negligible. The 10-20% value I posted the other day, that's based on reading I have done. Because my 11 yr old has had trouble with sleeping since getting COVID last December.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 I think majority of the population has had COVID already by now, including myself last spring. Two days of body aches/fever along with a head cold which lingered a couple of days after. I don't feel any "long COVID side effects" at all. Too be honest, I've had worse before. Keep your immune system strong, eat healthy, make sure you take Vitamin D, C and Zinc consistently, drink some scotch haha, and most people will be fine. Any new variant that comes out will continue to be weaker and weaker, which happens with any virus. The first strain that came out in 2020 was very strong and had a toll even on healthy people, but we're way past that now. Yes the virus effects everyone differently as with any other virus or illness. But we can't stop living our lives and have lockdowns every winter. Blue Jays games are full of fans now, with no masks. People are out dining at restaurants, music festivals, concerts, travelling. This is all pretty much over now. Who cares who is vaccinated or not, it doesn't make a difference! Time to move forward and live life. That's all I will speak on the subject because I'm done with it! Let enjoy the last two months of the season of Blue Jays baseball and make some noise in the Postseason! Cheers! I just got it this week for the first time and its been absolutely awful. Went 3 days with absolutely no sleep. 5 days of non stop coughing, not even 30 seconds of silence. Pulled multiple muscles from the coughing. Still coughing 7+ days later. Can't smell or taste still. Body has been completely wiped out. Its been much worse than I even expected

So basically I should be a puppet and follow everything the "experts" are saying about covid presently? I'm sorry, but there was so much ******** spewed that turned out to be false from the "experts". They were basically guessing throughout the entire pandemic as well. From the reading you've done, answer me this. How many of those articles preached about fitness & nutrition? How many spoke about the dangers & consequences of being overweight? That should have been the most important message throughout covid, but it wasn't. At the end of the day, I don't believe covid is/was much of a threat at all for healthy people, especially if they were/are young. If you disagree, that's certainly fine by me.

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Franmil Reyes was recently DFA'd. Not a great fit for us but I'd take him over Zimmer as a reclamation project.

Completely different needs though? Franmil could be an interesting option off the bench but we need the CF coverage and pinch run capability more I think? Maybe Tapia/Whit is enough for that role
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 *sighs* Sadly this is what happens when the inmates are allowed to run the asylum.

I remember reading somewhere Francona saying he can’t catch up to the fastball anymore.

max silver Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 What happened to his bat though? I remember reading somewhere Francona saying he can’t catch up to the fastball anymore. It looks like fastballs aren't a huge issue for him as he produced an xWOBA of .352 against fastballs. Breaking pitches are a much bigger issue, he stuggles to even make contact with them as he has a 55% whiff rate. It seems as though the league has noticed this and really been feeding him a steady dose of breaking stuff.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 The best theory I can surmise is after the unjust banning of a board legend, they took a step back to reassess their tyranny. Probably can be a little tougher and I give them my blessing
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 I'm handing out 1-week bans for any posts after this that are about covid and not baseball.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Let me give you mods good advice and take your victory for eliminating the politics discussions. Seems everyone has moved past that. You won’t kill the Covid discussion. Intersects too much with baseball and everyday life. Even mods hop in. You should just take a “The Purge” style approach and let people duke it out in an OT thread. Transfer posts there. People will get the picture
