Glad to have a fan:)

Nice to hear. Here’s some good advice for you: don’t take things so serious. I know the world is almost ending with Covid, climate change, and Republican attacks on freedom.. but just breathe in some positive energy and let it flow.

You’re welcome. Maybe I’ll start a book

I love your posts! I can always count on you mentioning "Covid" and other off-topic crap so that moderators like BTS can ban you for a week (or forever?!?!) like they said they would. There are a few posters here that add very little to the baseball discussion yet are always front and center when it comes to getting s*** off the rails. You know a lot about baseball but can never stop yourself from diving into the muck that centers around your political and social beliefs. f*** your beliefs and talk about baseball. :D

This is an amazing BASEBALL forum and it should be treated as such.

You guys haven’t needed me to go off the rails heavy I’m seeing lol. Anyways, glad to know you’re a fan and if I do write a book, I’ll sign a copy and send it you. Back to baseball?

I wouldn’t want to sign Degrom

Yes I just looked it up

Yankees were 101–53 in 1928

Yeah Maris broke it when changed to 162 and that’s why he got so much hate. I read about it but wanted to see that movie 61*. Not sure if it was any good

This guy kind of has some outfield Raimel Tapia in him. Horrible defensive CF despite 70 speed.

I checked and Fangraphs even had this nailed in their 2021 Red Sox list. Has him as a 35/40 defender. So he must have been visibly horrendous in the minors.

deGrom can opt out after this season?

I wonder if he likes Canada?

lol

As much as I would love a healthy deGrom, he likely would never sign here in Toronto and I wouldn't want to hand him a monster contract given his health record.

Looks like a 25/30 temperament as well. Gotta grow some thicker skin, bud.

Yankees at Seattle this series

Including Cole vs Castillo tomorrow night

Love it

Do we want the Mariners or Yankees to win? Either way should be a fun series.

Honestly the M's.

This is tempting fate but Toronto is relatively secure in the WC race when you consider projections and strength of schedule. They have a lead, are a better team than all the teams chasing them, and have a fairly easy schedule.

Catching the Yankees is possible and should be the goal.

Yankees for me. M's getting J-Rod back probably Wednesday, Haniger back as of 2 games ago. Strong pitching (Munoz has become an absolute beast) - they are definitely a team to worry about.

Loser talk

Toronto is going to win the division!

In a week or two Kyle Lewis and Mitch Haniger will collide in the outfield. Haniger's remaining testicle will dislocate from his body and shatter Lewis' patella. Career ending injuries.

7.3% chance

Toronto's chance of catching NYY is higher than their chance of missing the playoffs which is like 3.3%

Depends on where you look. Baseball reference uses 1000 simulations and has Toronto with 0.2% chance of winning the division.

How many games did the Blue Jays make up on the Yankees in 2015?
