yeah but did you see the catch randall made last night? he is going to hit 30 HR as a CF in Coors boyo

Well he already hit 30 the one year he got 600 plate appearances.

He would be probably hit 30 homers with a .285 on base anywhere if he got 600+ plate appearances.

He might hit 40 in Colorado.

Well not really. If Colorado increases homeruns by 20% that only gives him 3 more at home, if assuming a 30 homer pace.

Maybe if he gets lucky and has a real good year by his own standards he can hit 40 in Colorado then Reddit and Twitter will proclaim it the worst trade ever.

He was drafted ahead of Mike Trout you know.

I don't know if there will ever be another sporting moment in my lifetime that can replace the pure elation I felt when Joe's homerun cleared the fence. I was literally jumping up and down with joy. What about his personality turned you off? I tuned out of baseball for quite a few years after the 94 strike so didn't follow the team much at all until the 2000's rolled around, maybe I missed some kind of drama during that time.

Same man, I was in Chik Chiks bar on the Danforth, 'twas incredible. I tuned out of ball for awhile myself after the strike, MLB flirted with disaster this offseason. I just heard that he was basically a racist POS, not very well liked in the clubhouse, etc...

I would think yhe would be laughing all the way to the bank. He was one of the top 10 paid players in the game while performing below replacement level from 1995 till his retirement

The 1994-1997 story of the Blue Jays is as criminal as 83-93 was good. Hard to believe that WAMCO became C by 97. No WAM. No O. Just C.

There should be a Joe Carter award for such an accomplishment, although the bar would need to be set higher (or lower actually?) as Carter managed a -0.6 WAR with 30 home runs once.

The record is Dante Bichette. 34HRs with a -2.1 WAR. Even though his wRC+ was an even 100. He was just that bad defensively.

I definitely hear what you are saying. Carter's final two years he got 100 RBI in each while putting up -2 WAR total. He also put up -2 WAR in his final season for the Padres alone lol. That's 3 years with 100 RBI and -4 WAR. Yikes.

But he gets a bad rap around here. He was a legitimately good player for us his first 3-4 years but was kept around long past his time for his age 35-37 years. It's not really his fault that the team kept employing him and batted him in the middle of the lineup year after year.

The fact Carter was able to produce 100 RBI while also producing a negative WAR value just proves what a great run producer he was.

No mention of soft hands though so the Pat Tabler erection detector was only registering a 6 out of 10.

6 outta 10 isn’t bad

Hendricks got rekt by the Bucs, no command.

His decline since the start of last year has been sad. So fun to watch when he's effective.
