z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Schwarber gets 'just under' 4/80 according to Jayson Stark. That's a definite no for me, I'm glad we passed. yeah, more than I would want to spend on him

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Eddie Rosario gets 2/18 from the Braves No thanks, move on to the next target. Joc Pederson?
BCZ Verified Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 $32m for two but he only put up 1.7 WAR - seems like a lot of money for an average bat at first. I sort of think you can find that output somewhere else for less. At least they didn't land Freeman or Correa 1B average 110 wRC+... Rizzo projections are ~125 wRC+... not average
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 FTJ getting the wrist surgery. I don't understand when the injury happened vs when the surgery is happening
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 I don't understand when the injury happened vs when the surgery is happening Yeah I don't know the timeline but assuming nothing could be done with the lockout.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Yeah I don't know the timeline but assuming nothing could be done with the lockout. Nah. I think if anything he’d get it and get reimbursed through the team. He likely tried to ignore it until he couldn’t
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Dickerson signed in Atlanta I care more about the other Dickerson
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Author Posted March 16, 2022 Dickerson signed in Atlanta There's still another Dickerson out there...

Laika Community Moderator Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Didn't even notice the Schwarber signing but yeah I would not have wanted to give him $80M

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Didn't even notice the Schwarber signing but yeah I would not have wanted to give him $80M Phillies didn't either. 79 million or take a hike.
King Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Has anyone else noticed that the Rockies haven't made a single transaction this offseason? Fangaphs projects them for a -153 run differential lmao.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Latest Cinny move Amir Garrett for 34 yr old Mike Minor and cash Wtf
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Latest Cinny move Amir Garrett for 34 yr old Mike Minor and cash Wtf Well, Garrett does kinda suck
King Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 That's a good trade for the Reds it just doesn't make sense. They also got cash considerations. My guess is that they flip Minor to another team? For more cash? So pretty much selling off Amir Garrett lol

Starting SS, late inning reliever and #4 SP for them lol.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Good deal for the Reds. Minor is a legit big leaguer and Garrett is just bullpen fodder. But I agree with King they must want to flip Minor. Why acquire 10 million dollar #4 SPs when they just gave up one in Wade Miley for free?
